....oh wow.
Guys, if you're going to be negative about everything, Digibutter won't get any better.
And anyways, it's not dying, or dead, or whatever you want to say about it, you're just being overly dramatic. Digibutter is FINE. I've seen this happen several times where people get all upset and think digibutter has gone to shit, but we've gotten by that and digibutter still lives. Just get over it. What's happened has happened, and there's not much you can do about it besides put it behind you and look toward a better future. No, I'm not being an asshole and I'm not flaming you guys because I think it's cool, I'm stating the truth. I don't exactly know what happened, but whatever it is, just move on. Don't worry about anyone who won't get over it. |

Alright, I may risk looking like an asshole for saying this, but
SHUT THE HELL UP!
I don't know what the *crag* is wrong with you guys, but cheer up. Now. I've been with this site since a month after the beginning, and let me tell you dipshits something: It's not the heaven you guys keep complaining about. EVERYBODY had shit for grammar. Common sense and logic were harder to find than use of the smiley. Speaking of smiley use, people abused them like hell. The site was full of spam, topics placed in the wrong forums, and all sorts of shit. But guess what? You guys loved it. And so did I. The attitude behind the horribly misspelled words was really happy. Even with spam flying around everywhere and one hell of an inactivity problem, everyone was 50x happier than they are now. Now deal with your noobs that you can count on one hand and just live with it. In the old "golden" days, there was no segregation and hate between noobs and sensible members. You know why? Because EVERYONE was a noob. Everyone had horrible grammar, everyone spammed, everyone was new to the rest of the community and its problems. Even with spam and inactivity at insane levels, everyone was happy. Hell, this site gave Cody a SEIZURE at the Party and soon he was back and having fun.
Nowadays, if somebody somewhat important leaves, the whole *crag* forum falls to pieces and cries. Guess what? Cherry's coming back tomorrow. He's just annoyed with the site and is leaving for a few days. And everybody has to get into rants and get all cranky about how we shouldn't have called some strikes shit when they were, should've sucked up to him more when he's doing a bad job or being an asshole. You guys do this sort of thing to EVERYBODY, even cases who can't take a joking insult over the internet without running out crying. Here's an idea: If somebody leaves and says the site sucks and junk, ignore them. Have fun with the site. Don't try to get them back to the site while they're still emo-ish, they'll just run into another post jokingly insulting them, then rant their heads off about how the site sucks now or is dying or some absolute shit like that, then run off again for a far longer time than they would've originally. Back in the day, members left all the time and nobody cried about it and said the site's dying and junk.
To further shove my point into your skulls, allow me to compare this site to a little place called Boo Mansion. It's been around for a way longer time than Digibutter, and it's still yet to generate half the activity here. But it's doing great, seeing as it has a Trading Card system fifty times better than our "RICHEST GUI WINZ LOL" system. It's got nearly no spam, in fact its spam section is less active than some other sections. It doesn't have any of the problems with spam or junk like we do. It's coming along way better than we are, except for one major thing. Negativity. The same thing I see going on in this thread. Everybody whines and moans about shit like "OH MY GOD TODAY TWO SPAM TOPICS WERE MADE AND GOT LOCKED ITS THE APOCALYPSE" or "THE SPAM SECTION IS TOO ACTIVE DELETE IT!!@!!". People cry about the stupidest shit there, despite being way better off than here. That SINGLE reason is why I still prefer this site to that. Now cheer up, because I can tell if you don't shut the hell up with this kind of shit that this site is going to become like a second Boo Mansion, except the site itself is quite a lot shittier, and, oh yeah, almost everybody on here's a grammar nazi, meaning getting many new members is nearly impossible.
I conclude: SHUT THE HELL UP AND LIVE WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT! THE SITE IS ONLY AS BAD AS YOU THINK IT IS! |

This site's been quote unquote "dying" for about a year now. Shouldn't it be... you know, dead by now? |

Exactly what I was thinking; it is in no way dying, and anyone who believes it is needs to check out the internet more often. The fact of the matter is, you guys are overreacting over issues that every site has. You guys should be happy that a site like this- which was such a novelty act when it was first introduced- grew into a relatively successful little community (People with an eye for these things probably would have expected this site to die in less than a year.). You know what will make these "problems" go away?
Don't take things on this site personally.

I actually... disagree.. with everything you said.
D: The site is not dying. Maybe it'd stop "dying" if you guys stopped making such a big deal over every little thing. |

I think it's the fact that most members have an unhealthy obsession with the site and a year ago we pretty much had something new every day
nowadays people expect something new and exciting and they piss and moan over the slightest of things
they also grow attached to certain members and boards and other things and when that member or thing goes they again start pissing and moaning and stir up drama and shit
then since that member's most exciting factor of the site is gone they see how inactive or uninteresting the rest of the site is and cry HOLYSHITTHESITEISDYING and the rest of the site either doesn't care and tells them stfu/gtfo or they also cry HOLYSHITTTHESITEISDYING and we go in this little cycle that apparently never ends
but that's just my slight perception of it |

You know, those "groups" don't really even fight anymore. I haven't seen any RPOT vs OT, Sloopy vs Damn near everyone, or anything else for a while. I think its the people that believe these groups are killing the site are the people we don't need. Like the people that all of a sudden go STOP THIS OT VS RPOT BULLSHIT every time the smallest thing happens to someone that goes to RPOT. Ah yes, and remember guys, people have this little thing called life. No, you aren't the only one that has one. People have to work, go to school, etc. People can't devote their lives to one website. |

The issue with this website today, is it has many of the same factors as the real world does. It seems that the real world has become a virus and spread onto the internet, the realm where many flee to get away and relax. We have become aware that many of us are different than others and ourselves, and this presents things to poke and prode at, things to make others fude against each other. We have become aware that memes and stupid, retarded fads have corrupted the OT and RPOT, which help bring this sight down because it spreads like wildfire. We have become aware of what I like to call a severe case of Extremous Noobatitous, in which many of us have become Noobs of some sort. Also, we are all jerks. Why? Because we chose to be so. In any way, we shouldn't be.
I agree with the "lives" statement above. Indeed. I have one too (amazing, no?). If life interupts, then get over it and do what you have to in life! Life isn't meant to be discarded because of a very well off, now slowly perishing, website! Why else would be alive then in the first place?
Oh, and the drama! I remember the drama days, and I do see a good bit of it now still (like this topic, to an extent). All we can do is support our friends here (which many do, and many don't). I'm pretty sure, right now, if I posted that someone died in my family, I would be pelted with the stones of those who want me to, how they say, GET OVER IT! Well, that's not the way to act. Those who tell others to get over it, should get over themselves to comfort and aid those who need it most. Heck, I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for that factor.
Let us live, let us die. As we do, let us enjoy ourselves with each other, and not become our own enemies within ourselves and those around us. By doing so, we strive for a better community, and a better future for the world online and off. |
