I doubt much elaboration is needed here, but here we go:
-Collectables are literally useless. They are even more useless than Relationship items which are also only rarely used anymore. -The ability to view them would be dependant on the user, if some people don't like to show them, they can keep them hidden from the public eye, or they can disable their ability to see them so noone brings up the "but I don't like seeing them" excuse. -This would give many users(myself included) motivation to reopen/put effort into their shops, since(I'm tired of saying it) the cheapest possible weapons and healing items have existed forever now and nobody really uses relationships anymore past making one for themselves and somebody else, which is pretty much why 99% of the usershops are always deserted. -It will undoubtedbly bring back the "fame" and "respect" items, and people loved those back in the day. -To curb the "wasted bandwidth" arguement, another option could be added to the usershops, which would let us link to the item's image rather than uploading it to Digibutter. This would likely lower the amount of bandwidth used when viewing shops and looking at collectables since the images aren't being constantly loaded from Digibutter's database. |

+1 Support Point.
I really think that showing collectibles would thrust motivation into many of the members here. Also, linking to the image instead of uploading it onto the site would save a lot of memory. Also by default, the collectibles should be hidden for a user (so that way all the people who are inactive won't take up any bandwith) and then the active members can just turn their collectibles on, and it all works out in the end. |
