I'm writing a vampire story, and I has a question for those who might know more about various vampire myths than I do. o_o;
It's a very piece of commonplace lore that vampires can't go out in the sun or else they'll die, but what about artificial sun? If a vampire takes an evening trip to a tanning booth, will that also kill them, or will they be OK?
Yeah, it's weird, but I wanna know what you guys think. XD |

No, probably not because the sun is supposed to be like this mystical thing right? Thats why they are called creatures of the night. So artificial sun probably wouldn't work.

I don't think it's the light since in a lot of vampire stories I've read they are in lit places such as malls and houses. Stuff like that.

Agreed. I've noticed in some movies, games, etc., sources of light other than the sun don't exactly hurt vampires, so I don't think it will be any different for a tanning booth. |

That's what I was thinkin'. Like, a fluorescent light won't hurt 'em, but a UV lamp would. |
