...after today, I realize what it was that I loved so much about Digibutter when I first joined. It was because of the simplicity of everything and everyone. People could joke about with eachother and nobody would really be offended, the only real arguements at the time were really between Popple and some others like Larry Koopa. A ton of people were acting in-character, and while it was certainly spammy, the Dump was what kept many users here for up to 10 hours at a time(and sometimes longer). I enjoyed the site because people could talk about the most retarded pictures, start these little jokes and games, and we only got in real trouble if what we did was actually something terrible, like image flood or making 300 topics. I miss when RP/RPOT were amusing places, with the incredible popularity of Castle Bleck and the like.

Honestly, the real reason I believe some old members think this site is dying is...well, because when we had our first major spam problems, our freedoms became more and more limited. It started reasonable, like "no posting things like [x]" and "Don't make too many topics and join too many fads", but things began to get more and more restrictive, to the point where we can't even risk hurting somebodies feelings, or making somebody else mad without being threatened by strikes and jailtime.

I miss being able to casually mess around with forum games. I guess the thing that today really made me miss was the other half of what made Digibutter so great: the community. Ruki, Piccolo*, Dark Prognosticus, Jolene, Luvbi, Kii, Pure-???, and so many other awesome people were so active back in the day.*I mean active on the actual forum I really miss how we could just get along with eachother without a problem, how everyone coveted eachother for the collectables, and how people weren't afraid to talk about whatever they felt like because of the fear of flamebait/strikes/flamewars. I guess I realized that I miss the openness that the community once had. I miss when I could talk several members into spending their weekend playing a random MMO or BYOND games with me as well...

I barely remember the days anymore. It's like words can't even describe how awesome it was for me, and I was a noob. And no one really cared that I was a noob. ( Besides rawrskey of course. ) I miss the first Hail Bleck and Chaos Dimentio and Mona's Pizza of course. I don't think there is anyway it's gunna come back, because lots of people aren't willing to change even if they did to get to this spot. It's hard to explain but I feel you Maiq. I feel you. lol

I miss them too; thought I personally blame the spam and think we had a lot less of it - probably because we were in-character, or may I just didn't count it because of ICness.

Well, the past is gone. We can only learn from it for the future.

... Seriously where did the Empress of Bacon go ?

I know what you mean, I'm a pretty nostalgic person... I like looking at the past for a lot of things, namely when it's anything nice to look on, of course. You learn from the bad, and often miss the better. The 'freshness' of the site's Super Paper Mario-ish atmosphere has faded with the freshness of SPM itself, of course. We just need to do our best to age for the better.

So... the thing I really would like to see is a community that can get along (to the best ability it can... not everything can be perfect). I remember a much friendlier Digibutter from the time I first joined... I hope that recalling hasn't been clouded by the passing of so much time. D=

I didn't expect to be on that list, but yeah. It is a bit too serious. The Dump should be back. D: With somewhat limited posting so we don't ONLY post there again.

Looking back, as much as I don't like saying it, I hate what I was back then. But I just remember how much fun it was, and it was the good times, yo.

I kinda missed out on the transition between old digi, and new digi. I never saw it changed, as I was busy over the beginning of summer, then the hard drive on my computer crashed, so I lost my bookmark for this place...

But missing out shaped me into what I am, after all, I could shed my older shell off and be a better person. But I do miss the older days, in a way, just not my older self.
