I saw this a while ago, and I really liked it. I decided to bring it back from the dead, 6 months ago! Very Happy

The first game that called Princess Peach "Peach," rather than "Toadstool" was Mario Kart 64. Super Mario 64 used it, but only as a nickname. Mario Party was the first game to really call her "Peach"

Starfox Adventures began life as Dinosaur Planet, a game made by Rare, but never released. The main protagonist was an original character turned into Krystal, the Blue Fox.

The Sony PlayStation was originally intended as a CD
add-on to the Super Nintendo. When licensing problems and other issues
arose, Sony decided to develop the PlayStation as a machine of its own.

Final Fantasy got its name because it was going to be Square's last game.

Sony's first product was a rice cooker.

Fifa 2001 had a scratch and sniff cd. The smell of it was grass/turf.

Samus was originally going to be male, but halfway through development, the team working on it thought it would be a cool surprise to make Samus a woman.

Final Fantasy VII was going to be on the N64, but there wasn't enough space for the game on a cartridge. The game would have filled 13 cartridges.

Big Boss was originally made to look exactly like Sean Connery, complete with an eyepatch. All the other characters in Metal Gear 2 were made to look like actors of the time.

Nintendo used to manufacture playing cards and run "sex hotels" before becoming the family-friendly videogame company it is now.

In Tales of Destiny, defeating Leon at the start of the game will result in, at least by my standards, a joke ending. In other Tales games, defeating extremely difficult or scripted fights usually changes the dialogue of the next scene slightly.

Nintendo has been leaving us out. 2008 is the only year in a decade without a Zelda game release!

In Wario Land - Shake It!, Glittertown/Neon City's Music is a remixed version of Wario World's Greenhorn Ruins.

Love isn't the same as sex. Now this will probably end up in a huge discussion about love and sex, so let's just drop it at that. Wink
