Discuss the DSi.

The main think I have to ay is that it look awesome, and I can't wait for it to come out, especially given my quickly-dying DS Lite. (Dammit, Reggie)

Also, do you think they're going to have a Virtual Console for it? Like old GBA and GBC games? I think they are, because it would get them more money, and a lot of people would like it.

And they kind of, uh, announced that it would.
I'm not paying $150 for half the battery time and no GBA slot.

I might get it, but the camera is kinda lame for being the "big feature" of the system. I might get it, but only if I have enough money to keep my old DS and buy the DSi.

Considering they will most likely have a "Trade in your DS and get 60 dollars off the DSi" Like they did with the DS, Ima buy it.

Not worth it at all, in my eyes.

First off, the big ticket of the DSi is the camera and the media playback, and the new downloadable stuff.

The camera has been confirmed as being low-res and more so for tinkering around than for actually taking pictures. That's pretty lame, considering most phones have a decently hi-res camera in them now.

And the DS has always had crappy sound playback. If you wanted to play movies or music on the DSi, you'd need a decent set of headphones in order to get anything decent. Also, I have this card that lets me play media anyway. And it's only, like, $50.

Also, why bother with a library of downloadable GBA games? I don't want to download games I already own, my DS Lite will play them fine. But would any clear-thinking human being own both a DS Lite and a DSi at the same time? No.

Not to mention, the battery. Now, let's compare the batteries for a moment here. The DS Phat had a battery life roughly equal to the life expectancy of the Milky Way's Sun, then the DS Lite had a battery life of about 4 or 5 hours. What about this? With all the new functionality, the battery is going to suffer horribly.

Do you mean both working well, or not? Because I know a hell of a lot of people who are going to get a DSi because their DS Lite pretty much died, and the can't trade it in, since it's so dead.

The DS-lite only had a 4-5 hour battery life if it was on max btightness, 4 times brighter than the normal DS. Otherwise it was the same.

I laugh at all of you who got suckered into trading in their DS Phat for a :shitty: DS Lite Very Happy

My DS Phat is nearly 4 years old and still works absolutely perfectly Very Happy

But I don't think I want the DSi. Not worth the extra features unless there are specific games for it, which I doubt.
