Metal was malfunctioning which could be noticed due to the sparks coming from his head.
Metal had one of his arms in the form of a large metal hammer.
Anyone in range could hear music emitting from his head that sounded messed up.

Yoshi fell off of vaati. That was the last of his problems though. "Metal taste bad to yoshi. Maybe Metal just crate full of seafod feduccini..."
