Ninten may look like Ness, but he would have a completely different fighting style. He wouldn't be another clone, either.

Yeah, those would mostly be status effect PSI. But, that's what he was there for in MOTHER 1. And, I just thought those up quickly. |

You DO know that Lucas has the chance for a completely different moveset, but he's a luigified clone, right? Chances are, Ninten would go the same way. Did Sakurai give Ness PK Rockin' as his Final Smash? No. Did he give Lucas PK Love as a B move? No. What makes you think Ninten would get that moveset?

Given the choice between a third-party character with mass appeal and one that nobody knows, I think they'd go with one with mass appeal. Remember, they probably have to pay royalties to use third-party characters, so they want the sales to be as high as possible. |
