So, if I understand correctly, RaveRaze's argument is, "Communism would work out great... if we were robots."
But we're not, we're humans, with our own ideas and goals in life. So capitalism seems like the better option.

On-topic: Yes we did. Yes we did.

Secretary of State.

However, I'd like to point out that the thought of Hillary Clinton having a place in the President's cabinet isn't positive news at all.
You don't know that for sure. She may seem like a terrible person, but you never know, she could pull through.

Obviously not, considering you think her name is Sarach

Who's, Obama's or McCains? If Obama: No. If McCain: I know

Exactly. He SHOULD be, but he's not. Don't you think he'll die soon, since he hasn't died YET?

So what? Sometimes medical care isn't enough. And if he did have the "utmost," then he'd be in a hospital getting surgery every day, leavin Palin to run the country. Too many bad things to say there.

Because there are only like 6,000 people in the state and she won by like 4 votes. How did Bush get into being president both times? Cheating. Everyone who he used to cheat admitted to being bribed to get him to win by rigging the vote. How do we know Palin didn't do that, but no one admitted it?

Exactly

I really don't think McCain could do better, but I'm not saying he couldn't. I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, I side for whoever I feel has the best ideas for the country, which in this case, I think Obama had MUCH better ideas, and with most of them being the opposite of McCains, well... ANd Palin definitely wouldn't do better than Obama.

ANd it was a very good speech, I enjoyed it. We got to watch it at school! Very Happy

...Everyone assumes she has no knowledge whatsoever...
...and anyway, do you need to know advanced chemistry to get the Pres., or do you need to join avid discussions of the meaning of The Odyssey?...
...You can be told those things...
...and anyway, she isn't competing against Obama, she is in rivalry with Biden...
...but "Sarach" was obviously just a typo...
...and no, I don't think he will die soon, longevity is hereditary, and he family has some powerful longevity...
...and assuming Palin cheated is a wild assumption...
...We could say the same of Obama, or any Governor/President...
...and anyway, it's not always one's morale's that makes them a good President...
...maybe he will just be an inspiration to people around the world, of how he went through drugs and got off them and how he is the first half black president...
...Because she has ALMOST no knowledge whatsoever.

I don't know the electoral college's standards, but I'm guessing that if they would let Sarah Palin be president, you don't need to do anything.

Told what things?

I know that. Some people think McCain will die. Others think Obama will get shot. I think the former is more likely, but the second one is still likely, too. I know it's her vs. Biden, but since McCain is more likely to die soon, it really is more her vs. Obama.

I know, I was only kidding.

As I said, longevity is genetic. His mom is the only one in his family with a long life, and she's had no health problems. Ad as I said before, McCain is facing old age, weight, cholesterol, arteries, blood flow, a swollen left gland, recurring lethal skin cancer, etc. With so many things that could kill him, longevity takes no effect here.

I know, I was just saying we have n way of knowing for sure that she didn't cheat.

I know you could, but the difference is that a lot of people like Obama. Very few people like Palin.

I know. That's what I was saying. It's what they want to do or what the DO do that akes them good or bad, not the party they belong to.

Maybe, but I still think he'll do a great job.

Give him a year, and the positive aura that surrounds him will start to wear off. Yes, he does seem like a positive change, but he isn't perfect; eventually, a reason for some to criticize him will arise, just like every other president we've ever had.

Which reminds me; he hasn't done anything yet. Let's praise him after we've seen him in action for a while.

I put mah hopes in Obama, and I dearly hope he holds his promise of getting the USA onto clean power.

I just hope he won't be assassinated, because A) he's black and B) he wants to make radical changes, like Lincoln. And we know what happened there, sadly.

But I have my hopes up. And I don't even live in America. :D

the acts of war our country commits are to spread democracy, k i was wrong its not the American dream but its the American way. They're trying to make everyone just like America is.

If you were wrong, then that means that bringing up the "American Dream" was pointless in the first place. You have failed to make that ideal look like a bad thing.

Quote:
Understandable but Communism, though technically it is an economic system it is also a way of life, a way for society to be run. So Communism and Capatalism both have the same goal, a society where everyone is equal its just that Capatalism has an easier way of breaking like someone doing an illegal activity. The chance for communism to be broken is much harder seeing as the goverment has power and fear.

Capitalism having a much easier way of breaking? Must explain why the Soviet Union was able to survive all these years with a perfect interpretation of communism, and why the West has collapsed due to leaning towards capitalism.

Also, I don't think you realize, but in pure Marxist communism there wouldn't be a government, so there wouldn't be "power" and "fear". So, what are you saying; you like the Stalinistic approach to "communism" more than the original Marxist idea of communism?

Quote:
But following the path of human nature one wouldn't follow the rules unless theirs something to be feared. In a pure capatilist society theres nothing to fear only something to gain. What are the chances someones gonna play by the rules if theres nothing there to enforce them. Sure the goverment will do something in a capatalist society but not as much as a communistic society.

As I stated before, in a pure communist society, there would be no fear, as the power and wealth would be equally distributed in to the hands of the citizens.

Since when was fear-mongering a good thing, anyway? George Bush did it, and plenty of capitalists, communists, conservatives, and liberals alike disliked him.

Quote:
Like I said before after wiping human nature out of our systems Greed wouldn't be there. And putting something that is fundamentally wrong to good use will never lead to prosperity

"Putting something fundamentally wrong to good use will never lead to prosperity," says the guy who's typing away on a computer that was probably manufactured by some corporation, with an internet service provided by some business, and who most likely plays a variety of videogames (Another product of capitalism.)

Quote:
Yes, Yes i am

Just because someone prefers one thing to another doesnt mean that one things bad. To say that is to look upon those who would like to live as scum which is in fact discrimination.

Wouldn't your "communist society" discriminate against anyone who did not hold the common view?

Quote:
Okay I think i can settle a bit on this, What if everyones trained for a specific job from birth and then those who were trained only bred with those who are in that specific catergory. eventually they will become such a specially trained person they would be born with knowledge on that subject . Be they workers, scientists, or artists. I mean someones whose been trained will eventually surpass a natural at anything. I see those who are given jobs with more power are given stricter security so if you are in fact a
a video game designer you would be allowed to stress some creativity but if you ever act for your own gain you would then be .... gone.

Art is an expression of one's own natural talent and personality. The only reason artists are currently sent to fancy art schools and the like is to hone technical skills; true creativity cannot be learned from a book.

And what is this about ever acting up on your own again and being gone? Isn't that discrimination against people who have differing ideals as well, which is the main thing you've been arguing against?

Anyway, I'd like to see you live without art or entertainment, if you truly believe that the government should run anything and there should be no individuality. Cut out all videogames, movies, and books; about the only thing you could be able to watch is government-sponsored cable TV educational programs.

You'd quickly learn that a world without artistic freedom isn't much of a world at all.

Quote:
Do you consider yourself an animal sir? Do you consider yourself a savage beast with only instincts no morals? In a true communistic society the goverment makes you work, theres no more jobless people around. If you refuse to work you would be shunned from the country. If you dont do you job your shunned from the country. Everyones gonna have to work for what theyre destined to do by birth. IN a communistic society there are no slackers, everybodys working towards the same goals, not many opposing ones. You say Communism is flawed while I say human nature is flawed, anything that always results in someones pain is never truly correct.

You honestly believe that someone should have no say in what their fate is and what they want to spend their lives doing? What separates us from these "animals or savage beasts" if we have no control over our lives? We'd be nothing more than sheep.
Ill argue with you later Cid, ive got exams to study for and carfilledwithfish you dont understand correctly reread it

You people realize that, no matter what, Bush, like other presidents who have been said to be horrible, will go down in history as a great man.

Honestly. He wasn't perfect, but neither is Barack. And you people act like he is GOD. Just because he spews the word change.

Get over yourselves. Get over Obama. He's NOT god. He didn't come down from heaven on a flying pizza to use his Obama god powaz to make life all bear and skittles for you. To do the things he's talking about...do you even REALIZE how long that would take? And further more, do you even REALIZE the hidden side-effects of his plans?

I'm not saying he will be a bad president. I'm just saying that, like all humans, he's not perfect. AND HE'S NOT GOD! So stop treating him as such.

Why switch to a "perfect" way of life if it isn't any fun? Wouldn't a boring lifestyle be a flaw in a lifestyle itself, thus making truly perfect lifestyles impossible?

Wow, are you even reading my posts? My point is that we're NOT machines with no desire to do anything outside of our programming, which is why it's a bad idea.
