The ones that celebrate Christmas, I mean. Every damn thing about it symbolic.
The ornaments represent the Garden of Eden.
Candy canes are shaped like a Shepherd's crook.
The name was original Christmass, as in Christ's Mass, but the last s was removed somewhere along the line.
And there's probably some symbolic shit involving the evergreen that I don't know about.

It's more of a commercial holiday.

It wasn't when this "God" so many people speak of was born, but rather a set date to celebrate it.

... I honestly think you shouldn't be an Atheist. I could understand being Agnostic, since no one is sure, though. o-o

Key words. Honestly. Think.

Not saying you shouldn't be. I'm just saying I'd rather not be sure about something no one is sure about, rather than fully believe, or fully deny it. xD;

I celebrate Christmas because my parents are Christian. I think. They might only do it because their parents were Christian.
It's a nice holiday, though, and one of the few times of year where I get to see my older siblings. I enjoy it, even though I'm not into the religion or materialistic bullshit that surrounds it.

I'm agnostic.

Anyway, I think a lot of Atheists celebrate Christmas to be with their families and get presents. Hell, I'm pretty sure that's the reason most Christians celebrate it.

Jesus, according to my teachings, was neither god nor mortal. Oh, and they simply estimated what the approximate date would be.
