There is people who create fire out of Nothing

They spin water and chunks or rock by flailing hands around.
There is a six legged thing the size of an [b]elephant that somehow flies without wings or anything.
So you watch this and think "THIS SEEMS PLAUSIBLE."
Not to mention there is a law (not police law) stating you can't create energy (fire) from nothing.[/b] |

But ice that Waterbenders turn from water to ice isn't cold ice, it's the same temperature as the water, so it wouldn't freeze him. And since he was unconscious AND inn the Avatar State, he didn't need food or water.
