Why do people put emphasis on a person's sex? It's not even an important part of who they are! I can't possibly fathom why anyone would care. All that it determines is if you have a penis, or a vagina, and that's about all that matters. In fact; in the general idea of it, the only thing that matters in sex is the act of reproduction. So why does it matter?

It doesn't determine sexual orientation, it doesn't determine attitudes or hobbies, it doesn't determine favorite colors... it doesn't determine a damn thing! All it does is give a person a set list of stereotypes they have to follow or else you're different from the others, you're not acting your age, not acting your sex, you're not being the person you should be.

It disgusts me, that people think that sex is something that needs to be known for a person to be themself. Everyone is their own person, and that right should be unalienable, but sex just seems to be another excuse for people to create a stereotype; a generalized version of that person. Just like how being a certain age means you must act that way, or you're weird.

(And for the record, when someone is uncomfortable with thier own sex, that's something completely different, they're uncomfortable with how society sees them, and they want thier physical self to reflect how they are mentally. It's a condition that can occur as young as a few years old, when a person's mind is so juvinile they don't even know how to spell 'blue', but they still know thier body is wrong. I wanted to get that out of the way, because I knew someone was going to bring it up.)

There are additional biological differences, but they are too incredibly minor to matter, especially on the matter of behavior, personality, etc. - that is, how we identify ourselves. But, hey, why do we put emphasis on our genders? Such is question Cid might ask, at least.

Anyway... the stereotypes you mention, gender roles, are typically placed into a child through gender socialization. And yes, this is because of sex.

CD speaks the truth. There are some minor differences between males and females, but all and all they aren't any different from each other. We are humans. Males are equal to females. There is nothing wrong with our sexuality. Cherry, you shouldn't be offend if someone asks for someone's sexuality. It doesn't hurt to know someone's sexuality. Infact, it gives a person more understanding of the other. Just like weight, height, and age does.

I'm not the smartest person in the world, but if I feel offended, maybe, I'd give my point of view and feelings on the matter, giving some reason why. I think it's also a female in a male body, no FtM's here as far as I know. xD

THe only thing sex can would EEVER matter is if you are refering to someone as a he or a she. Or in voice acting. Not much else besides those two.

The reason why people are so intrested in sex is, because I am sure MANY of us know, the internet is filled with a whole bunch of sad teenagers who are looking for love in the wrong places. They would treat a girl as if she was a goddess, and he would treat other dudes like utter shit. Deny it or not, it is true.

It kinda urks me seeing how it is hard to make friends with some of the dudes on the internet because they are ANNOYED by the presence of another dude.

Still don't believe me? Make two accounts on a website that allows you to easily make friends. Make one saying that you are a he, and one that you are saying that you are a she. Go to a bunch of other peoples profiles with both of them, and ask them to be your friend. Trust me, I tried it to test this theory, and I was right.
