360/PC/PS3 Version Pictured

Quote:
February 3, 2009 - During its fiscal third quarter earnings call today, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello announced a Wii version of last year's horror shooter Dead Space is on the way. No other details were revealed, but IGN has heard it will be an original take on the game that makes full use of the Wii remote.

"We're bringing core intellectual property to the Wii," Riccitiello said. "Wii is the market leader -- they're getting half of our emphasis in terms of title count."

Dead Space was released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC last October and received high praise for its beautiful graphics, creepy atmosphere, and gruesome alien zombie dismemberment. Oh, and zero gravity gameplay. Electronic Arts credits the game as one of its major sales drivers during its fiscal Q3.

Oooh, hopefully they can work out something nice for the Wii to make up for any content loss.

I think it's his way of saying, "Since Dead Rising on Wii was shit, Dead Space on Wii will be shittier."

Much like Resident Evil 4, this should work really well with the Wii Remote/Nunchuk. Although atmosphere is a huge part of the game, so gtting it for PS3/Xbox360 is probably still best for the extra detail and sound.

I'm just glad people aren't afraid to bring games like this to the Wii.

Any new Wii games are good news to me, I guess. Of course, knowing EA, they'll manage to screw this up in some way.
