Because everyone sees games differently, what were your favorite games of '08, what games did you think were overhyped, overlooked etc.

I can't really speak for PS3 games as I don't have one, but I'm sure LBP and MGS4 would've been on my list.

#1.Fallout 3- With great graphics, a great story, and unbelievable options this was my favorite game. I logged about 30 hours over a course of two months, no other game this year held me for so long, especially with only a single player mode. The Operation Anchorage pack is also pretty good. What I didn't like was the fact that after beating the game I lost my character and had to start all over, and a lot of the voices are reused. An unmissable RPG even for those that are new to the genre.

#2.Gears of War 2- Now, I feel like a tool for having this on my list, as it is the epitome of what a d-bag would call his "Most awesome game ever". But this game had so many great things. The story campaign was amazing, with awesome gameplay and a pretty good story. The graphics are amazing, some of the best of the current generation. The Horde mode is my favorite part of the game, 5 people team together for killing fun, whats not to love. The multiplayer is great too, but I haven't had much time with it.

#3.Super Smash Bros. Brawl- I went to the release, I played until 4am. My favorite experience of the year. the hype, the replay excitement, the Dojo, it was great. I played for hours and hours and loved it. If the Wii hadn't gone into its downward plunge this would probably be #2. When all I want is straight up fun I play this game.

#4. Left 4 Dead- Not much in the way of graphics, story or depth, this game was flat out fun. Sitting with 4 people for an hour of zombie brain fun was my favorite multiplayer of the year. Valve makes us wonder how they come up with stuff.

#5.Call of Duty: World at War- Again, I feel like a tool but I couldn't stop playing this game. The graphics are good, not great and same with the story, but the multiplayer is god. I've played CoD5 online more that any other game at all the last months. Overall good game.

#6.Dead Space- Some of the best 360 graphics out there to date, and a great story. The best part of this game for me was the camera, the way it looks and works is great, you can move it 360 degrees, making you somehow feel in total control of Issac the miner. Great overall game.

#7.Battlefield: Bad Company- Hate to sound like a broken record but amazing graphics on this game, and even better sounds. The echoes and gunfire are amazing with the right audio. The explosions are downright sexy. Great story, great multiplayer.

#8.Banjo Kazooie:Nuts and Bolts- I don't really like creativity games because I'm too lazy to try and make stuff, I like when its made for me. But this game was OK. I'll admit, it's mainly up here as a nice "achievement" award. It's great Rare decided to make another. But I didn't have that same feel.

I only have 8, which is really weird because there was an onslaught of holiday releases, but i guess you can only go so far with one console and a Wii.

I loved Rock Band 2 but I'm not going to put a music game on my tops list.

Most overlooked game of '08- Bamjo Kazooie, sure it was just ok but it should've gotten more attention then it did.

Most overrated game of '08- GTAIV, it had good graphics, physics, acting yadayada but that can't make up for the story not being up to par and multiplayer lacking. It got GoTY all over, but most people I know were bored with it after 4 hours, about 15% into the story. I mean, its all taxi missions, thats boring and tedious. I want to have to steal a lambo and drive it over a bridge for someone, sure it would've been stupid but it would've been fun.

Biggest flop of '08- Mirrors Edge. 80% of the game is indoors, WTF is that? Why do I have to sit through a gay story and spend it inside. I should be running rooftops delivering little yellow bags, not doing the same things over and over in eye- hurting environments. The inside gives better area for parkour moves, but c'mon we should be jumping across rooftops, not inside a warehouse.

I also got Bioshock and Halo 3 this year, talk about opposite ends of the spectrum. Bio is probably in my top 5 of all time now, when it ended I was sad because I wanted more of the 40s-era creepyness. It was amazing, and I should've got it right away with the 360.

Halo 3 is annoying and not very good. I expected a little more..... That's pretty expected here.

Castle Crashers was my favorite arcade game of the year, and i only had a small bit of time to play it.

And the New XBE is awesome with Netflix, but avatars and no party-sharing sucks.
