Valve made their intentions to support “Left 4 Dead” with downloadable content clear early on, but today brings details on what that means. The “Survival Pack” is coming this spring for both Xbox 360 and PC gamers and features two new campaign scenarios and a new game mode called “Survival.”

No price point has been announced for the “Survival Pack.”

The only site I could find for a good quote was MTVvideogame news....

What has been said is that this "pack" will contained two new survival maps (Gee, wonder what those will be) and possibly new ways to play.

Quite disappointing, but hopefully it'll be free.

Reread. There are two new campaigns, and a new mode called "Survival".

Survival will probably be an alternate version of Versus, where the goal is to live as long as possible instead of reach the exit. Probably easy to adapt to all the current maps.

So basically, the game is getting a 50% boost.

You also forgot about the SDK being released, and how people will be able to make new maps and campaigns. °Д° ◉_◉ ʘﮯʘ

MTV is not a good quote to be frank :/ but what I've seen on other forums says its basically Dead Air and Death Toll maps for Versus. And survival is probably the new spin on versus. Although I hope I am wrong...

As for what DZ said- thats all new to me...

Adding those two to versus is only a very minor patch issue. There's a difference between getting two new campaigns and two reworked campaigns.

Exactly. that's why it's disappointing news... Although now I look around even more there are both reports of new campaigns and just new versus maps. Conflicting....

Everyone wants new campaigns over new maps. Dear god please new campaigns.

If anything, I'd love to have a Horde mode-style addition. I'd buy it without a second thought.

They said new campaigns, right? Valve only lies about release dates. Razz

Campaign = 5 levels. We're basically getting 10 new maps. Razz

The whole game is kinda "horde mode" but I see what you mean.

And I think Maiq is right and if so *crag* YES
