Alexander heard a loud explosion from outside the house. He ran out, and saw smoke rising from the castle's west tower. He simply dropped to his knees, and began to weep.
Zetta simply walked towards the tower, a sense of failure on his face. One could tell that he was jaded, rather stricken by that selfless sacrifice. He would find any remnant of that girl and bring it back, if it meant bringing his friend back from denial. |
