This is a land that knows no warmth. The word summer has no meaning. This is an unforgiving land, a land that will not hesitate to kill the weak. The ground is always blanketed in snow, though it proves an obstacle only in the winter, during which the snow drifts have been known to pile up much higher than some of the bigger houses in Bryn Shander. Truly there is no refuge from the cold. There can not be a single being in the Dale that does not feel the biting chill. Except however, a small four-sided crystal that landed here after being thrown through space and time, and through all the planes of existance. Though the object has been destroyed at least twice before, here it lies, buried beneath the snow, the only warmth in a place of true cold.
