Rain looked up and widened her stance a little. She figured only trouble could come from this. But she could take care of it, she figured. Her magic was strong and she had the advantage of fast flight.

Vaati was suddenly lit aflame most likely by magic.

If the cards feared fire they would most likely stay away from Vaati

Rain spread her wings in anticipation of trouble and started to generate a wan pink glow. Little pink hearts drifted from her wings like feathers and she generated a calming, soothing presence.

[Count_Bleck]

Paula who had been there a bit before the 'off with the head' stuff, gave out a "Not me!". ...not that it wouldn't look a bit suspicious with a paintbrush in her hand, along with a closed paint can.

[Strong Bad]

The cards weren't stopping anytime soon, whatever happened to them was quite possibly better then what the Queen had in store.

The Queen looked towards the two and raised an eyebrow, before noticing the paintbrush and can in Paula's hand.

"You there! Are you the one who was painting my roses!?" She screamed.

[Airrider]

This shook Rain out of her fighting stance and sent more little, paper-thin, pink hearts about the size of someone's fingernail flitting all over the place like magical confetti. "Huh? Painting?"

[Count_Bleck]

"I don't paint anything a color other than blue, so no, those ugly roses aren't my fault."

[Tails Doll]

Off in the distance amongst the chaos, some sort of mechanical buzz could be heard. After this abrupt noise ended, grinding metal clanks could be heard, and the ground itself rumbled a tad bit. In plain view, a horrible mechanical monster could be seen stomping towards the area, and a strange, unhealthy-looking old man was inside of this machine, who had his mouth wide open the entire time. He had quite a few confetti hearts fly onto him and his machine, and he really didn't seem to notice or care, as the machine marched on without stop. When close enough, the man let loose a hacking cough before he started to talk.

"I know who painted the roses. It was the queen's own soldiers." *Hack* "They were responsible for it."

[Airrider]

Rain was startled by the sudden appearance of the grotesque mech and fluttered through the air for a few moments before coming to the ground again.
"Wh-what are you? Where did YOU come from?!"

[Tails Doll]

"I am King P-P, leader of the Pigmask Empir-*Wheeze* *Cough* The old being started to hack and cough yet again. Surprisingly, he was not hurt by this at all. It took a few seconds for him to regain his breath and stop hacking. "Anyways, I notice my machine scared you. It's only my b-bed. It only looks gruesome. Hehehe..." And though while he said the mechanical object was just his bed, what appeared to be a mouth on the front started grinding it's razor sharp teeth, making a wretched, piercing noise. "It's a work of art. A real beauty. And I made it from scratch."

[Lord Vaati]

Vaati began punching each card that came near him setting fire to each one that was hit.

"What purpose do the teeth serve, then?..." She was warily asking this as a fight was going on several yards away from her with some rather impressive pyrotechnics.
