I am making up an entire world, with its own histories, races, and customs. I might make up languages, but they would be for formal occasions, hailing back to ages before the "world language" was invented (which is basically an excuse to have everyone speak English).

There will be turns of phrases unique to these people, much like how I often use "By the Stars!", "Oh Star Spirits...", and "Shrooms..." in roleplay scenarios. This is because, in my fic-verse, the Star Spirits are regarded as a sort of divine race. I even made up a myth about how they came to look after the world, which could in fact be a fantastic version of how their own home was destroyed.

I have decided to have a planet much like Earth, because if I went with (for example) an Element-Themed Planet, it would rule out many possible species.

This will be a large project and I'm only just deciding on the sentient race(s). There definitely will be a lizard-like race, since one of my earlier doodles was a scaled... thing in a tough leather-like armor.

The world will not be set in Ye Olde Times. All places will not have Steampunk, although some people will indeed tinker in that style. However, this is the general idea and each individual social-group will have its own level of technology, belief, ect.

You make Donkey Kong angry with your announcement that you'll make something in the future. I demand more tidbits of information.

Such as the Zarl? They are not quite evil, but they make weapons out of the bones of their fallen enemies. For example, this one I drew is wielding a dagger made out of a sharpened... well, fore-arm bone as the blade. It's a little broken at the top, so it is two sharp points, but it is capable of doing rather nasty damage.

The Zarl are a race of reptillians, but they might change.

The princess with an offer you can't refuse.

Anywho, I would like to see at least one overrun, grimy place. I like it when there's one place full of pollution and machines in an otherwise clean world.

You should use Spore to make the creatures and maybe some buildings and such. Or you could just download the creature creator for free and use that. It's really fun and interesting and you can do pretty good work with it, but it's still limited compared to a pencil, paper, and free imagination. It looks real good, though.

The creatures won't all be completely made up. There will be "monsters", but I have a couple already imagined.
