Reason One:

A lot of albums are meant to convey a story, or at least a general message, through each song on an album. By removing one from the whole you are experience an unfinished product and as a result will not garner as much out of it had actually gotten the album.

Reason Two:

Most of the songs are usually worth it. I hated Dirty Harry when I first started listening to Demon Days because I didn't like the atmosphere the song was creating, but over time it has become one of my favorite tracks. I could say this about a lot of songs and a lot of albums, but any more examples would serve no more of a purpose than nailing you to a cross and slapping you across the face with a wooden plank until the point was mutually accepted amongst both parties.

Reason Three:

A lot of these bands need money. Too many awesome bands have gone under because their albums didn't sell well. It's true that a lot of BIG NAMES in music have millions and don't need anymore money, but a lot of indie musicians do.

And they are usually a lot better.

I support piracy every step of the way for rebelling against TEH MAN or securing merchandise that is out of production, but stealing from musicians that are just scrapping buy is *crag* wrong.

Reason Four:

*crag* You.

This is why, shortly after I pirated Nightwish's Wishmaster album, I bought it from stores ASAP. But Dark Passion Play was just ripped from the album I bought.

For once, I'll agree with you.

*buys one song from every album that came out in 08.
OLOLOL.
What if you only like that one song?
HUH? Should I pay an extra 10 buxs to haul around plastic? HUH?

But uh, can't comment on this much cause I haven't found a band where I like some of the songs, so I look up the rest and they are all SLOOOW SOFT LAME STUFF.

Yeah, The Living End was the biggest dissapiontment.
