I got a GameInformer magazine today with Bioshock 2 on the front cover.
I haven't read into it much yet, but apparently, you play as a Big Sister (which is kinda like a Big Daddy, but skinnier and awesome-er) and you can carry around Little Sisters in a little cage on your back.
Also, it's a true sequel, not a prequel like some had assumed.
The ad in the magazine says, "You're Family Now" which is probably referring to your character being one of the Big Daddies essentially, which will probably eliminate any Big Daddy boss fights.
Looks like you can use plasmids again as well, except with different tiers of functionality... Nice...
This is going to be the best sequel ever. If you get a chance to look at the article, do it. It's got a ton of info on the new game inside. |

Who says the Big Sister is gonna be buddy buddy with the Big Daddies?
It's possible what's-her-name(I seriously forgot) may have had something to do with making them after you leave, since you never saw any signs of them in BS1. Perhaps to rescue the rest of the little sisters deeper inside the city.(Inaccessable by humans?) |

At one point when I was playing on Hard mode, I saw two Bouncer Big Daddies beating the hell out of each other randomly.
Still, you never know if the other Big Daddies will be friends or foes.

Tenenbaum?
Anyway, I seriously can't wait for this game to come out. I loved the first one and I seriously want to play the sequel.
WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW!
Do you think it's possible that Andrew Ryan may come back? The Vita-Chambers from the first Bioshock were programmed for only him or anyone who shares his DNA. So... since he's dead... maybe he'll be revived?
That's my prediction. |

IIRC, the one in his office was disabled. Also Bioshock was the shiz, I can't wait for this game. Is there a release date or at least an estimate yet? ФֻФ |

I read the article last night, it looks like you spend some of the game in Fontaine Futuristics. And you're able to walk underwater as well. |

After reading the magazine, I was somewhat right.
You don't play as a Big Daddy, you play as the Big Daddy. Says you're like the original one or something.
Big Sister is kinda like the villain, it seems. It says that she is one of the Little Sisters that were taken from Rapture in the first game, who returned and altered herself and is now trying to make the rest of the little sisters like her.
Big Daddy vs Big Daddy battles sound awesome though. It sounds like 'saving' the sisters will be more fun than harvesting them, since you get to run about gathering Adam with her...against swarms of Splicers. |

Anyways, something else I just spotted in the article. They confirmed an online multiplayer. You think they mean co-op or actual multiplayer battles?
I could see a mode where one team plays as Splicers and they have weaker weapons and plasmids. The other team plays as Big Daddies and they're slower and have more powerful weapons. They have to defend Little Sisters as they move through Rapture, kind of like a moving control point or something.
Or it could Splicers vs. Big Daddies except both are equal, and each side has different classes, kind of like Killzone 2.
Idunno. Just fan speculations. |
