Anyone who says that the 360 wouldn't have been able to handle LBP at this point is an idiot.
It doesn't really seem worth it though, since it's gonna be the same game, on a handheld, with lower graphic quality, less materials, and a set of new levels that they could just sell on PSN.
It's not really LittleBIGPlanet2 as it is "LittleBIGPlanet: Handheld Remake." |

This was released ages ago. The new version is going to have less levels and it is rumored that there will be no create mode or dlc. Basically, it's going to be be a straightforward platformer starring Sackboy.
They're trying to push this franchise too far, and it seems to they're falling flat on their faces. |

The problem is that they are trying to make Sackboy their Mario.
That's all fine and well, because frankly he makes a good mascot, but LittleBigPlanet isn't really a game with mass market appeal.
They need to stick with their guns and keep filling their Japanese and Weird ass games niche.
It's worked well so far. |

I wouldn't say that it's LittleBigPlanet 2. That title would be saved for the PS3.
The PSP one is prolly going to have some portable joke in its title. I can sesnse it. |

There are those who can't be bothered to get a PS3, but happen to have a PSP you know. |

If LBP has near endless possibilities, why does it need a franchise? |

I'm pretty sure there won't be Sackboy Tennis or Sackboy Kart Racing anytime soon, though. |

Because you can already do that in the original. You can do many things in the original. Which is why it wouldn't need a franchise. |
