Actually, that's not true. Once someone buys the CD, he/she owns it and is free to do what he/she wishes with it, including lending it to someone else and allowing him/her to upload the music on it into his computer.
A similar thing happened between Blockbuster and Nintendo a long time ago. Nintendo tried suing Blockbuster for renting out games, but it was pointed out that the games were Blockbuster's, and they could do what they wanted. |

Implies? Downloading movies is illegal. iTunes is an exception, since you're purchasing it, but not really like downloading, since you're buying it, the only difference being the medium used to obtain the movie. The answer should've been obvious from the start. |
