Player 9 had absolutely no direct inspiration from Homestar Runner. Though I did notice, while drawing Player 9 the other day, that he does look kinda like Homestar. '-'
Player 9 is a gray, faded character without a facial expression, meant to have no special qualities. Even to the point of having low stats. But his special ability is Random, shown in the sprites where he pulls his body into his head. The head turns into a roulette of the three other colors, and stops randomly on one of them. Orange: Speed boost Purple: Jump Height boost Brown: Power boost The boost lasts until the end of the level. When he changes color, he mimics the feet, face, and attack of the Player that excels in that stat. (Players 4, 5, and 3, respectively.)
I tried to keep the other colors close so they would be associated with Player 9's normal sprites.
But yeah, I have a ton of shit planned already. All I need is a composer, programmer, script writer, and I'm basically set. 
Also, more.
 Mega Man's design is finally, uh, finalized. Also jumping and falling.
And Frozen inspired me to make Homestar.
And Player 9 dressed as Homestar.

I don't think you guys understand.
The white, orange, purple and brown guys are all Player 9. The white one is normal, the orange one is Player 9 with Speed boost (after using Random), the purple one is Jump Height boost, and the brown one is Power boost.
Since normal Player 9 is Homestar Runner, the other colors will be Homestar based. IE Strong Bad, Coach Z, Marzipan, Bubs, etc.
But yeah, thanks for the complement. More stuff coming, uh, not right now. 
Also, I like the idea of a Harvest Moon character. Maybe they could be Player 6's costume/character instead of Waluigi. I always thought I had too many Mario characters, anyway. I kept thinking, while making Luigi, that having three Mario characters was okay because the game concept is similar to a Mario game.

 Strong Bad. Yaaaaay. I really only did it because Tsuki wanted me to lol
Player 1 and Mario now both have an extra sprite for jumping off enemies, since they're the only ones who can do that.
Player 6's costume is Jack from Harvest Moon on the SNES, as he's the only Harvest Moon character I know. 3: Character Jack coming when I feel like it.
Also I NEED HOMESTAR RUNNER CHARACTER IDEAS SGFLIRTREWIFHCD. Though I think I might use Coach Z in some way or another. |

Alright, now that I've got a whole bunch of sprites out, I think it's about time I show off my game concept fully.
Think SMB2, without the ability to pick up enemies, without the ability to jump on enemies without taking damage, unlockable stuff, (Players, costumes, characters, etc.) each player has their own attack, stats and special ability.
Player 1 (Codename: The Mario) Speed: *** Jump Height: *** Power: *** Ability: Stomp - Allows Player 1 to damage non-spiked enemies by jumping on them. Attack: Kick Costume/Character: Mario
Player 2 (Codename: The Helicopter) Speed: **** Jump Height: **** Power: ** Ability: Hover - Allows Player 2 to hover in the air for a short period of time. Attack: Slide Costume/Character: Tails
Player 3 (Codename:: The Brute) Speed: ** Jump Height: ** Power: ***** Power: Roll - Allows Player 3 to roll along the ground. Uses: go into smaller areas, attack multiple enemies Attack: Headbutt Costume/Character: Wario
Player 4 (Codename: The Spin) Speed: ***** Jump Height: *** Power: ** Ability: Mad Dash: Allows Player 4 to run at a very fast speed. Attack: Spin Costume/Character: Sonic
Player 5 (Codename: The Wind) Speed: **** Jump Height: ***** Power: * Ability: Super Jump - Allows Player 5 to jump really high. Attack: Hip Costume/Character: Luigi
Player 6 (Codename: The Hand) Speed: ** Jump Height: *** Power: **** Ability: Grab - Allows Player 6 to pick up enemies and throw them. Attack: Punch Costume/Character: Jack
Player 7 (Codename: The Shade) Speed: **** Jump Height: ** Power: *** Ability: Shield - Allows Player 7 to hold a shield that blocks projectiles. Attack: Leg Sweep Costume/Character: Proto Man
Player 8 (Codename: The Space) Speed: **** Jump Height: * Power: **** Ability: Low Gravity - Allows Player 8 to jump higher, and fall more slowly. Attack: Gun Costume/Character: Mega Man
Player 9(Codename: The Blank) Speed: ** Jump Height: ** Power: ** Ability: Random - Allows Player 9 to become one of three colors, each with a specific stat boost: Orange: Speed boost Purple: Jump Height boost Brown: Power boost Attack: None Costume/Character: Homestar Runner
Each player can take different routes through the levels because of their special abilities.
If anybody knows anybody who could possibly program the game, or is somebody who could program the game, let me know. I'd really like for this idea to, uh, not come to nothing.  |

I actually tried making some sprites for him a while ago, but they sucked and were too short anyway so I scrapped them.  |
