[Black Yoshi]

From seemingly out of nowhere, a Rift much like the ones used by Black to travel appeared in the middle of some random field... seeing how that is where people tend to gather in the first place. Six extremely powerful energy signatures could be felt emanating from the vortex, but no other signs of what it was or where it came from were detectable.

[Zeromus/Terrus]

"What's going on here?" Zeromus said, sounding half-interested.

[A Bucket of Water]

Bucket had found his way to the field simply because he could sense the energy signatures. Something seemed horribly off, of course.

[Zetta/Alexander]

"Oh, Rifts, here?"

"A long time since I've seen anyone activate one of these."

[Black Yoshi]

Now, six towering figures descended from the rift and landed upon the ground, still enshrouded in a shimmer of mist. Each was giving off a level of power far greater than anything that Black had ever dared to display... but nnoe of the six looked as if they were hostile.

[A Bucket of Water]

Bucket felt less tense when the air of hostility was lifted, but that did not quell the storm of confusion within his mind.

"Why would anyone be using rifts around here anymore...?"

The mist finally cleared, and six intimidating figures now stood below the vortex. Two were easily recognized as Balthazar and Grenth, the Tyrian Gods of War and Death. The other four included a radiant, angelic woman who seemed to glow with a soft white light; a tall woman resembling a cross between an elf and a tree, with a trunk and roots as her lower body; a pair of stunningly beautiful twins, enshrouded in shimmering pink and purple; and finally an ethereal orange woman who was no taller than the average person, clad in commander's armor and a blindfold. Anyone native to the lands of Tyria would immediately recognize the group... they were the Six True Gods of Tyria.

((IN other words, Balthazar, Grenth, Dwayna, Melandru, Lyssa, and Kormir.))

[Zetta/Alexander]

"Oh? The Six Pathetic Gods have arrived, then?"

"Your gods, I assume."

"They were."

[Black Yoshi]

Dwayna replied to Zetta's taunt in her usual soothing, melodic tone.

Don't be so hasty to judge, my child. The machinations of the Gods are complicated.

The Six still showed no signs of aggression.

[Lord Vaati]

A grey creature was nearby and noticed the six gods but remained where he was.

[Zetta/Alexander]

"Complicated? How can it be more complicated than to manipulate all!"

[Zeromus/Terrus]

[Zetta/Alexander]

"I'm not being silly here! Their so-called concept of Fate was nothing more than a web of deceit and manipulation!"

"Cool it, man."

[Zeromus/Terrus]

"Fate is not controlled by gods, but by beings higher than them."
