In the Updated Oress List, there's a section labeled "Powered By", then some sort of trait is listed after it.
This shows which trait or emotion needs to be expressed for an Oress to unleash it's full power. Let's take Entria for example.
Entria is powered by love. So, when Cel is strongly in love, her abilities will be able to reach their maximum power. However, if she's experiencing the opposite emotion, hatred, then her powers would be at their weakest.
So yeah. |

The emotions don't necessarily have to be expressed. The Oress can be powered by inner emotions and experiences, regardless of how the Oress Holder is currently feeling.
The Oress can also have two negative effects. When feeding off of a specific emotion, it can start to get rid of said emotion, or it'll make you experience the emotion more often to balance itself out and stuff.
So, for example, if Cel had been using Entria a lot, chances are she'd start to get all spiteful and stuff, rather than loving and happy. If she didn't use it for a long time, however, she'd probably start falling in love with everyone she saw (which would be amusing). So, it's all about balance. |
