And honestly it wasn't all that bad. But then again I expected it to be bad because of all the hate. But it wasn't that great either, it's just okay.

It isn't childish.
It's a horrible written series that deserves in no right to be sold in the same store as our lord and savior H.P. Lovecraft.
It's a stupid fad perpetuated by horny teenagers that want to read a book with sex in it. |

I'm actually talking about the movie, and I could care less for the book series. Having said that, I don't recall any sex scenes in the movie. |

I have to say, the book series was fairly okay. Certainly nothing to obsess about, but not a down right shit fest. It wasn't POORLY written, just below par.
The movie, with the exception of the soundtrack IMO, was utter shit. |

It's the same *crag* shit, but worse because the cast is horrible.
The first book was all about abstinence.
After that the dumb shit author realized she could make money if she exploited your average teen, having unprotected sex in the back of their moms minivan and dealing weed in a public school. |
