I usually choose to be a dude when it comes to games like that. But in games like Megaman ZX Advent, I played as Ahse first because I had beaten Megaman ZX with Vent first, so it would make more sense.

Most of the time i choose the male characters but sometimes i'll choose the female. For example i honestly prefer ashe over grey

It really comes down to how I feel at the time, and how it'll affect the appearance (besides the obvious differences) and abilities of my character.

It depends on the character. Usually when it comes to custom characters and stuff, I make males but in a lot of games I play as a female because I like her character design. Like, I always play as May in Sapphire because she is <3, and I normally play the Roll MM1 rom hack over the regular MM1 because Roll is awesome.

At first I put no, but then I thought about it and I should have put sometimes. For example in online games, if I just don't feel like having to look at a guy whenever I'm playing the game, then I make a female. Otherwise I'll play as a guy and just try to make him look cool. But I'd also play as a girl for some of the reasons already mentioned.
