We could do anything, but a lot of people (including myself) opted for making a drawing on a piece of recycled paper. All of the other entries were basically "Earth Day!" "Save the Earth" "Recycle" text with a picture of the planet. Since we could do anything, I drew a funny little comic of a cat's first encounter with a car's exhaust pipe. Four panels, no text aside from the title at the bottom and my name. It's really amusing, but as the person who accepted entries laughed, she also said "That's so sad".
I don't really care whether I win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or no place. It would be neat if I did win a prize, but I did this for fun. The prizes are a certrificate of some sort to all the top 3 winners. First also gets a $75 gift card to some clothing store I never heard of. Second gets a gift basket (I don't know what's in it). Third gets a water bottle and a tote bag.
Here's the interesting part: The original idea I had for an entry was a comic with in each panel of the "Teddybear's Picnic" with the general theme of a guy running around in a post-Nuclear War forest being chased by mutant bears that are determined to eat him.
The idea was just the first stanza, but I can now quite vividly see the rest of the song playing out... ._o

Sure, but it'll detract from when I upload a recreation.
Panel 1: Image of the Cat
Panel 1.5 (Optional to the recreation): Image of the Exhaust Pipe.
Panel 2: Image of the cat and the exhaust pipe as a side-view.
Panel 3: [POOM] Cat gets blasted in the face by exhaust smoke. Details inside the smoke are nonexistant and a wobbly outline is barely visible.
Panel 4: Cat is alone with its fur blasted back and covered in soot with its eyes shut and whiskers straight back. |

*shrugs* I think that they have had a table for more than just today, but I am not sure as I was not in that general area. |
