Wait till you read A Tale of Two Cities, you'll be *crag* bored out of your mind.

TKAM was a bad book, IMO

Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeare's worst play, IMO

The Odessey was pretty good. I liked it.

Now we're reading some stupid book - "Their Eyes Were Watching God" - about the Harlem Renaissance. And I don't pay attention. Been reading Robert Jordan's A Crown Of Swords in class instead.

Our class had to read Lord of the Flies over the Summer. I hated that book. It was terrible IMO.
Then we read Night. I didn't like that because I'm *crag* tired of the Holocaust.
After that, we read To Kill a Mockingbird. I didn't like that either.
THEN we started Great Expectations, and are still reading it. I hate how we're reading it, but it's not trash.
We also read Animal Farm. Good book, I read it before the class started reading it lulz (I also read 1984 before the class started Animal Farm, also good.)
And we're about to start Romeo and Juliet.

Great Expectation was a good book IMO.

They're like WWII games.
There needs to be one for every death in the war.
As for GE, almost no one besides me likes it at all.
My Pre-AP English teacher is going to have a bonfire with her classes on her ranch on May 16. The fuel? The Great Expectations pages. However, I'm not going due to camping and work.

I enjoyed most of the books mentioned in this topic. It's wasn't mentioned here, but, Peace Like a River is the worst book ever.

According to some sources in Academic English, Night was worthy of bonfire fuel.

Anyways, how about you guys? Does your English class make you read books thats not worth reading?
We used to, but this year, we're reading short stories that 1) Make NO sense, and 2) Just plain suck. We've been reading a million of them, though. It's not like the like 4 or whatever long books that we read.

This is worse, though. They make us answer a million questions about stories we don't understand. One pesron uses Sparknotes, and everyone else gets the answers from him on IM or Facebook. A couple of people just don't do them at all, though.

All the people who cheat off the kid that does.

There's one kid in the grade ahead of us who always either c/ps Sparknotes, or c/ps Wikipedia.

She always gets caught, but she somehow manages to get straight B+s.

I heard from a teacher our school is one of the dumbest in this state. Or maybe even country.
