Okay, I was in science class, everything was going normally.
Out of the blue, I see a person-like shadow to my left.
And the lights were off. After that, I looked around the room, and no one was out of their seat.
I'm scared. D: |

So! A tip: If something starts to smell awful and it's not chemicals (since you're in a science room and stuff), you'd better get the hell outa there. From what I've heard, evil spirits give off strong, bad smells.
Buuuuuut you never know. It's neat, though. I'd like something interesting like that to happen during my day... it's so boring, all the time, every day. Have fun! :3 |

I've heard of similar cases.
As a guy with a few paranormal experiences under my belt, I've come to learn of a few tips.
Ghosts reside on the Earth to frighten people. What do you do? Show no fear. Stay calm. If the ghost starts makin' a mess(like throwin' things), then utilize it's weaknesses like holy water. |

No. They do not reside on the earth to frighten people. That is a common misconception. It's usually because they are attatched to something (objects, people, etc.), or because they feel they've left something unfinished. Then again, it depends on whether it is simply a spirit, or if it is classified as a poltergeist, or perhaps a demon. Demons reside to harm and scare people.
I do agree with the "Stay calm" part. They'll either get bored and leave, or stay to do something else. They probably'd stop doin' annoying stuff, though.
Also, I think salt works if you throw it at them. Eh, I gotta go find that book that I had. It'd help if I had it... |

I once heard that ghosts are sometimes left if the person is murdered in an especially sudden and brutal manner. |

You can't say that for sure. Nothing has ever been 100% proven to be a ghost, so you can't say for sure. I, however, agree that ghosts exist, but I don't believe it's for that reason. I just think they're here for... I don't know, they're just here.
