PS3 for me. I never liked paying for online service, especially even if I'm already paying for my Internet, so that, alongside the fact that I really didn't like the 360's unique games which didn't really appeal to my style, either - made the choice between the PS3 and Wii.
Now, the Wii has potential, certainly. The PS3, however, has potential for much better games. Think of it this way. The Wii is like a basic palette of colors, a basic brush, and simplistic canvas, and a basic art style which appeals to a large number of people inexperienced to art(gaming). The PS3, is like high-end paints, expensive brushes, exquisite canvas, and a artistic mind, meant for those that can appreciate what comes out. Now, I see a ton of cheap paintings coming out of the former, and a variety of great games coming out of the latter.
It's certainly not Nintendo's fault, but they certainly made it a family-oriented console, for which people that had no idea how to play a video game from the 90's, could play. Kind of like ditching your old fans there for the mainstream, which would offer a much better pay. This kind of knocked out the Wii for me, since I don't want a bunch of pathetic software with sub-par graphics sitting on my shelf, after being played once, seven months ago. |

I'd have to say for me, personally, it's a closing gap between the PS3 and 360.
I mean, I don't really care for the current 'big hits' the PS3 has, like MGS or Killzone 2. Literally the only PS3 game I play right now is LBP, but it's a closing gap because there ARE some things I'd love to get my hands on in the future, like Fat Princess and DC Universe Online.
360 is the winner for me because it has RARE, Mass Effect, and the better versions of Fallout 3, Left4Dead and Team Fortress 2(compared to the PS3).
In my opinion, RARE's games to this day are still some of the most beautiful. Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo look better than a good deal of the games that are coming out now, and those were launch titles. Not to mention Kameo has an amazing soundtrack both are great games.
Honestly though, I've lost track of all the games I really want for all of the consoles. My list is a bit too big... |
