Along with my main team (Luxray, Emopleon, Roserade, Staraptor, Heracross, Golem), I'm trying to fix up four more teams, and I need help setting them in stone.

Team 1: Blissey*, Feraligatr*, Tropius, Flareon, Skuntank, Lucario

Team 2 (1): Igglybuff*, Tokekiss*, Macargo*, Poliwrath, Sableye

Team 3 (1): Lopunny*, Crobat*, Houndoom, Octillery, Probopass

Team 4 (1): Tyrantitar*, Dragonite*, Salamence*, Garchomp*, Rotom, Steelix

Key:
*= Not changing. I can switch the team they're in, but I'm not taking them out overall.
(1)= Needs one more Pokιmon

this does not help much, give me each of their moves and I'll help.

but for team2-4 I can try to give you the last pokemon you should have.

For team 2, the Igglybuff family usually suck. I prefer Clefable over Wigglytuff, only because usually Clefable turns out to be a better tank. Sableye sucks too. as for the last pokemon, umm not sure yet.

Team 3 is okay, except Lopunny is near useless so I wouldn't put her in. Rest is fine.

Team 4 is looking good, just gotta see the moves.same with team 1

Wait, I'm lost. You can have 6 Pokemon, right? You have 6 in team 4, right?

It needs one more?

kEvin: Right

SSG: Thanks, I'm using some of your suggestions.

And I'm done refining the teams, I've got it covered well. Thanks again.

Alright... It's obvious you don't play competitively.

I'll start with team 4, cause that one sucks the most.
Team 4 will easily be assaulted up the ass by a Froslass, or pretty much any Ice type. 3 Dragons? Are you *crag* me? Garchomp is an Uber, so he needs to go. Salamence is the better Dragon in my opinion, but Dragonite is slightly bulkier and has access to Superpower. Get rid of two of the Dragons, and put in a Bulky Water, preferably Swampert or Vaporeon. You do not need 4 Physical Sweepers on one team. Unless your Salamence is packing Flamethrower, Skarmory will completely wall everything you throw at it, with the exception of Rotom. Speaking of which, Use the Cut Form of Rotom. It can counter Swampert, which is used as a lead most of the time. Steelix is decent, but is walled by a Bulky Water, unless you pull of a good Explosion.

So what your new team 4 should be is...
Salamence, Rotom-C, Swampert/Vaporeon/Quagsire/Starmie/Tentacruel, Tyranitar, Steelix, Zapdos.

There. I'll even steal some movesets off Smogon to give you.

Salamence: Naughty: Life Orb: 232Att/24SpA/252Spe
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Fire Blast/Stone Edge/Roost

Rotom: Modest/Timid: Leftovers: 252Hp/168Def/88Spe
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Will-O-Wisp
Leaf Storm

If you want, I'll give you the other movesets, and rate your other teams, but for right now... I just don't feel like it.

actually I like Emil's idea for team 4 better. forget what i said, i wasn't looking at team 4 too carefully

yeah when you get out there to battle, there WILL be someone with an ice attack in their team, ice type or not. if it were me, I'd take out Sala and Chomp but keep Dragonite.
Team 4 is an all sweeper team, with the exception of Steelix. You should have a good tank and someone with a fire attack to take care of those ice types. Unless your Steelix has some tanky moves, I suggest putting in a tank in your team.

I prefer Blissey, because Blissey is THE best special tank in the game.

I would take Emil's advice and take out Sala and Chomp, and maybe even Rotom. Tyranitar is a good enough sweeper, and its not my favorite sweeper either.

My final team for Team 4 is Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metgross, Garchomp, and Snorlax, and I'm going to have as many of those learn fire moves as I can, and then Tyranitar will have either a Psychic or Flying move to trump the Fighting types, and Metagross will be a tank. Then Snorlax will have Flamethrower, Thunder, Rest, and Snore (Maybe Sleeptalk).

So you didn't listen to our advice at all? I didn't realize you were a Novice player.

That has got to be one of the worst ideas for a Snorlax in the world. It reminds me of 3rd Grade when we all thought it was awesome to make our Mewtwos Physical Attackers.

If you are going to use Snorlax, don't be an idiot and teach it Special Attacks. AT ALL.

Snorlax: Leftovers: Thick Fat: Careful: 168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD
~ Curse
~ Body Slam / Return
~ Rest / Selfdestruct
~ Earthquake / Crunch / Fire Punch

Use that instead. Also, I think SSG is right. Use Dragonite. Don't be a stupid Pokenoob and use 3 dragons.

you did listen to me, but made the dumbest move ever.
Actually you didn't even listen to me, I said take out Salamence and Garchomp. NEVER have 3 dragons in one team. half of your team will go down with a nasty ice beam in a matter of three turns.
Snorlax is a good tank, but it is NOT a sweeper. Its sp. attack is shit. Have it learn either Hyper Beam or Selfdestruct as an attack move and Rest and Curse for defense. Snorlax is a tank for a reason. Giving a tank Thunder=mega fail.
Metagross is a good tank I guess, but it can be a sweeper too, just give it Agility and its good.
I highly suggest you post each of your pokemon's moves, so I can edit that for you too.

Fighting type is not that common. Think of the ICE and those other common types you will see in battle.

Exactly. The only Fighting Type you may see is a DynamicPunch+No Guard Machamp. You will have to watch out for Weavile, Mamoswine, Froslass, and pretty much every Water Type.

Actually you didn't even listen to me, I said take out Salamence and Garchomp. I know, I said I listened to you so you wouldn't feel bad. I tried to end the topic, but... And either way, I'm not even taking any more suggestions about switching Pokιmon. I'm fine with changing moves, but I'm not changing out any Pokιmon. NEVER have 3 dragons in one team. half of your team will go down with a nasty ice beam in a matter of three turns. Which is why most of them are getting a Fire move.
Snorlax is a good tank, but it is NOT a sweeper. Its sp. attack is shit. Have it learn either Hyper Beam or Selfdestruct as an attack move and Rest and Curse for defense. I highly suggest you post each of your pokemon's moves, so I can edit that for you too. I haven't done the full movesets yet, but I already posted Snorlax's. I know Dragonite will have Hyper Beam, and either Dragonite or Salamence with have Fly. Metagross will have Agility, Meteor-whatever, and a strong Psychic move. Garchomp will have Dragon Claw and Earthquake. Other than that, I haven't thought of what to do.

Fighting type is not that common. Think of the ICE and those other common types you will see in battle.I'm only getting that done for Tyranitar. It's double-weak to Fighting moves.

I know, hence Snorlax having tHunder and Flamethrower.

you didn't say that at all (whats in the bold)
If your fine with changing moves, post the movesets.
Quote:
Which is why most of them are getting a Fire move.

That won't work. First of all, a well trained Froslass will attack first with a nasty Ice attack, killing your dragons in one hit before they even get the chance to move.
Second, its not ONLY the ice types you should worry about, its the ice ATTACK. A Floatzel with Ice Fang, Porygon-Z with Ice Beam, Machamp with Ice Punch, etc. Giving them a fire move is not a bad idea, but lets say theres the chance of a good tanky Ice type that survives the fire attack, and the next turn it ice beams you to death. Even if you do survive, theres the chance of being frozen.
And lets not forget the Ice/Water dual types, which are very common, with the likes of Dewgong, Lapras, etc.
Quote:
I'm giving it Thunder so I can cover the most possible types to do super effective damage to.

First of all, Thunder sucks. Thunderbolt is the way to go.
second, Snorlax's special attack base is at 65, A FREAKIN 65! Thats one of the, if not, THE worst sp attack base in the entire game. No matter how powerful Thunder may be, it will do very low damage because snoralx's sp. attack sucks. You wanna cover the most possible types to do super effective damages? Give it Thunderpunch, its attack base is 110 so its not bad. ALTHOUGH I THINK TYRANITAR IS A MUCH BETTER SWEEPER WITH THUNDERPUNCH.
take Emil's advice and use those movesets, its much better than what you have right now.

Dragonite's Giga Impact>Hyper Beam, just FYI.
PROTIP: NEVER USE HM MOVES FOR BATTLING. An exception is Waterfall and perhaps Surf, since those are good water attacks.
I hate Garchomp because we already have too many dragon types in this game. If you want a dragon in your team that badly, use Kingdra. Although its stats are not god, its a good dragon pokemon without the ice weakness and Water STAB boost. Plus give it Dragon Dance and it will murder everything with Draco Meteor/Outrage/other physical dragon attacks. The reason I love Kingdra is because it is unique. For example, it has a unique dual type (forget Palkia)
Tyranitar should have Earthquake, since its a god move. That is all.

Like I said before, don't worry about the fighting type, worry about the fighting MOVES. A Togekiss can learn Aura sphere. Electivire can learn Cross Chop. Just about anyone can learn Brick Break. All are common fighting moves that is learned by a non fighting type. Plus theres Lucario who is Steel and Fighting. A Psychic and Flying move won't do much for it.

Jesus... The way you talk about Pokemon all the time, I assumed you actually had a tiny bit of skill. I guess I was wrong though. Please... Just listen to SSG's and my advice. Wait... Maybe he's just trolling us.
