I get the IB Summer. What that means ?

120 f*cking hours of homework.

If I work every day in a week, seven hours a day, then I might get it done in two point two weeks.

If I don't do it, I won't be allowed into Grade 12 and even if they do, I'd die under the workload.

HOORAY !

Tasks:
~ Read all the literature.
Yay Poisonwood Bible, etc. etc.

~ Write your first draft for your Extended Essay. Up to 4000 words, bibliography, bla bla bla.
I analyze a book and am horribly afraid of DOING IT WRONG, because that's what I did in my exams this year. Probably just need to P-E-E.

~ ToK Essay. In other words, 1200 - 1400 words of *crag*

~ ToK Presentation

~ Part IV presentation; 10 minutes.

~ World Literature Assignment - An essay.
I analyze the role of fate in "Antigone" and "Six persons look for an author." (The later is Gainax-worthy *crag*. Good stuff.)

~ Revision and compiling revision notes.
Meaning look about 60 pages of syllabus, write down each assessment statement, then find the answer / explanation.

~ BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE ! The joys of the IB Diploma Surprise Summer Package include Math portfolios, Investigations, Science essays and more ! Some people also do summer revision courses, which apparently are superb, but too expensive for my family

So, yeah. Our teachers say we should stop whining right now, think of it not as a summer but as lecture-free time like at University, and that next summer will probably the best, longest (and last free D:) of our lives.

I had to work at the Grade 12 Graduation ceremony today. Guess what ?

That was only High School Diploma Graduation, not IB at all. That is optional; after the big graduation party you can still get a letter saying "Sucks to be you."

And if I do onbly get that, well, it's worth less then the Realschulabschluss I would have made a year ago in a school that doesn't cost about 20000 a year.

Only if I get a really got SAT they'd let a HS diploma count as an Abitur.

In other words, my recent life appears to have a rather large component of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHY GOD WHY DID I ASK TO HAVE AN EXCITING SCHOOL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I DON'T WANNA DIE AAAAAAAAAAAA EVERYONE BELIEVES IN ME SO WHY DON'T I FEEL BETTER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA etc.

If I go violently insane, it was the IB. Not video games, no, the IB.
