Man, this game has some great . powers. UFO and Ghost would be better, but they have a pain in the ass bug that stops them using drop through platforms or ladders, making them stuck in many levels. In 64, It's gotta be bomb+cutter.(Exploding Shuriken) Superstar, it's hammer. Adventure, UFO. Amazing Mirror, it was definitely Master. Dream Land 3, Chuchu+Spark.(Rebound laser. Actually bounces off regular walls, unlike most Kirby games.) |
You need arms and legs to use ladders. Kirby lacks them when using that ability. Therefore it makes sense. |
But not being able to use drop-through platforms?

I'd have to say some of my top favorites were
Lightning + Cutter (Double-bladed Lightsaber? Hell yes!) Fire + Cutter (Because giant swords are always cool. Giant swords you can throw, well that's just gravy.) Double Lightning (Nucleus of DEATH!)
and... there was bomb and something that gave you missiles... maybe bomb and spike? Don't remember, anyway, who doesn't love explosions? |
Missiles was double bomb.
Bomb+Spike turns you into an exploding Gordo. |

That was actually Bomb + Bomb. No, I haven't played the games, but I still have the Nintendo Power issue (134, I believe it is) that has the dirt on Kirby 64.
It...isn't on VC, is it? I want to play it so bad... |

Nononono. You don't throw it, you uppercut them in the face repeatedly. |

Indeed. Hammer has 3 good moves: Dash, Uppercut, Mid-air spin. Uppercut for huge damage whenever you can. Dash to go through charge based attacks. And Mid-air spin whenever they're too far from the ground and you're not busy dodging them. |

Dont forget the hammer with the copy scroll in squeak squad. That did some serious damage to bosses |
