For me, content is one of the most important things in a game. I love games where there is just so much to do, and some games do this amazingly well, even on the small DS games. Now lets run down.... The top 5!
6:Super Mario 64 DS. Now, action games would have a hard time being on this list, as generally it's a play through to the end game with a few side quests. However, before we explore why this one made it, lets remember the original had 120 stars. This one added 30 extra, multiple characters, many mini games, and more levels. And lets face it, the original had alot of content. So this is very impressive.
5: Clubhouse games Ah, clubhouse games. One of the most underrated DS games of all time. This game packs a whopping 42 game in it. And not just wimpy games, but everything from bowling, to soltare, to Old Maid, to 5 casrd draw and texas hold em. You can even play the original card game nintendo made before they made games. Handafuna anyone? Now also there were some other modes instead of free play. There was stamp, where you go through all the games, the better you do the fater you progress, and a mission mode. Also you can read the rules for each game and fine tune the settings and look for each game. The intergrated chat was cool. It was like a souped up pictochat. Pick this game up today.
4: Meteos. Ah, Meteos. Also very much undrated. But what can I say about meteos other than HOLY SHIT. This amazing puzzle game is not your standard falling block puzzle game. It's more of a action puzzle game. Instead of stages you play on planets. 32 planets. Each planet gives you a new feel of the game. From Luna=Lunas slow gravity, to Hevadoor's fast paste crazy-ness. It's just AMAZING. There are tons of modes too. Like time mode where you race against the clock in 4 modes. Theres simple mode where you set your rules. It's amazing because no matter what you skill is you can tune it to get it exactly at your level. Theres the "story mode" with 3 diffrent versions and then, my favorite, deluge. Play untill you lose.
3: Animal crossing wild world. Rember how SM64DS expanded upon the original? This does the same, but the original is a gamecube game. All I can say is thousands of times, tons of events, fish, bugs, fossils, new buildings and features, blah blah blah holy shit. Pretty much thats it.
2: Scribblenauts. Sure, It's not out yet, but I don't CARE. In this game, you solve almost 300 puzzles and go through action mode by writing anything down and it comes to life. And by anything, I mean anything. Root beer. China shop. Coffee stand. Minigun. zombie. Jerk. Xylia. In fact, for 6 months, multiple people just went through the dictionary and Wikipedia adding stuff. There are infact 10,000s of items. The coolest part: They all interact with eachother. Moon + villein = werewolf. Flammable things catch on fire, predators nom on prey, ect. the only words not in there are things like beer or penis. You know. But you can still have Albert Einstein on a skateboard with a shotgun battling the kraken. Cool huh? Now lets go through one of the puzzles. Theres a star on a tree. Here are 5 ways to get to it.
Flame thrower Ride jet powered unicycle off ramp beaver to cut it down lasso it down spawn keyboard cat to play it off.
Seriously. Keyboard cat is in the game.
1: The world ends with you.
Where's your god now? Remeber how I said action games have a hard time having lots of content? The World Ends With You slaughtered that rule, and then build itself. This is your standard Action RPG. Your weapons are magical pins. There are over 300 of them. Each with the tiniest stat difrences. There are over 75 enemies, with the tiniest details and stats. Your charcters are incredible detailed. You can eat one of the hundread kinds of food to boost one of you mini stats slightly. The clothing system, also has tiny details and is just amazing. Thats not all. Once you beat it, good luck collecting all 304 pins, completing the noise (enemy) list with all 96 enemies. getting all 41 foods or all 150 pieces of "swag"
This will show the amazing detail. Enemies http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Noise_List Pins http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Pin_List_G Swag http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Swag_List Food http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Food_List
I'm not done yet. The world is massive, each section with diffrent popular trends changing time to time. Trends make clothes effects more powerfull and pins more powerfull.
Even when you finsish the game, try beating all the missions to get all the secret reports, then the MASSIVE side quest, Another Day. |

I agree that TWEWY is the best DS game.
However, I don't see Phantom Hourglass anywhere on the list, perhaps I'm reading something wrong? |

Needs more Castlevania, Disgaea, and FFTA2. Also I fail to see the correlation between action games and linearity. ФֻФ |

Is it really fair to list Scribblenauts when it isn't out yet? = /
I mean, it looks like it's going to amazing, but there's always the possibility that we could be overhyping it. |

I agree with everything.
Except I never played TWEWY or Scribblenauts.
And I really don't think I'll like TWEWY.
But HELL YES METEOS AND CLUBHOUSE GAMES |

You won't like TWEWY since you don't have hair on your balls. |

Avalon Code. One of the deepest games I've ever played on the DS. TWEWY is *crag* amazing, though.
And Ring of Fates. Echoes of Time wasn't nearly as good as the original. |

PH is good, but it's pretty small, honestly. This wasn't a best game list, it's a largest game list. |

TWEWY was mediocre.
SM64DS needed to be higher on the list.
These people have god awful taste. |

Also how does THEWY beat Scribblenauts in content? As the guy said, TEN THOUSAND OBJECTS. How does 304 pins, 96 enemies, 41 types of food, and then 150 items beat that? Sure it's got the ridiculous clothes stuff, but that doesn't sound all that complicated to design/program to me.
I'm having a hard time ranting, actually. I honestly think the game seems overrated. |

I actually see the game as hated by too many individuals. So many hate on the game just because Neku is "emo" (he's not, he's anti-social). Anyway, this game is amazing, but allot of people hate it for no reason. |

Anyway, this game is amazing, but allot of people hate it for no reason. | Probably because most of the characters are generic JRPG characters and the story sucks. Gameplay is awesome though. Certainly not the most fun DS game ever, but still enjoyable. |
