Saw it at midnight.....
IT WAS EFFING EPIC!!!!
Dan was sexy as usual. So was Alan Rickman, of course.... but Tom Felton is pretty hot too.
Here's a bombshell for all of y'all.....
After seeing this, I don't mind Ginny as much as I used to. She's pretty cool in the movie...nowhere near as obnoxious as Book Ginny.
Another shocker: I didn't overreact to the H/G kiss. At all. In fact, I'll tell you how the scene lays out.
She takes Harry to the Room of Requirement to hide the HBP's book, and she tells him to close his eyes. She hides the book for him, and as Harry keeps his eyes firmly shut, she leans in and she kisses Harry lightly, then leaves. (No Harry/Ginny makeout, thank God!)
SLUGGY WAS MUGGLE-FORKING POIFECT! He made me laugh, cry, everything!
DUMBLEDORE WAS EPIC! He was like Moses, Gandalf, and, well, Dumbledore all mixed together! When he died, I actually cried!
HARRY + FELIX FELICIS = DAN IN REAL LIFE! He completely becomes hyper and like his real-world self. I couldn't help but smile.
HERMIONE WAS AWESOME, AS WAS WON-WON! Lavender was a total stalker, Luna was muggle-forking EPIC, and Cormac reminded me of Robert Pattinson. (No offense, but.....Eeeeewwww!!!!)
IN THE MOVIE, HERMIONE ACTUALLY HAS BUSHY HAIR, DUMBLEDORE WEARS HIS HALF-MOON SPECTACLES, AND SLUGGY KICKS SERIOUS ARSE. TOM RIDDLE WAS EFFING CREEPY.
Best lines/scenes/stuff in general:
Harry (while talking to Slughorn and Hagrid about Aragog): Pincers! *makes clicky noises and does hand gestures*
Snape (to Cormac, who has just puked on our favorite greasy-haired one's shoes): Detention for ten weeks, Mr. McClaggen.
Everything and anything involving Quidditch, Won-Won and Lav-Lav, rock music, and bird-throwing.
The Cave scene was muggle-forking INCREDIBLE. I literally started crying as Dumbledore was force-fed the potion by Harry, and stared in awe as Dumbledore set an inferno and kills all the Inferi, while parting the lake ala Charlton Heston.
AND THE BEST LINE IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE.....
Ron (to Harry, after Harry's just left the Room of Requirement- he and Ginny just hid the HBP's book and kissed): So, Harry, did you and Ginny do it?
My response to this quote from Ron was a facepalm, followed by the most insane bit of laughter you will ever hear, EVER.

The movie was nowhere near as good as the book.
Though, I have to admit the Gandalfdore fire storm part with the Inferi was pretty cool. |
