A while ago I hosted a private server, and it worked pretty well except for the fact that Blizzard nearly found out about it and I was locked out of my account for a few days.
Now that I know what to do in order to not *crag* myself over, I want to start it over again. If anyone wants to jump on it that would be cool because we had around 4 people max last time.
You don't need WoW, all it takes is an install and one modification to a text file. I'll post GM commands and shit so we can pretty much use the game as a sandbox. |

I'm not guaranteeing anything. I'm nervous with getting other people who play WoW to connect because A) I know I'll be banned if shit gets leaked and I'm willing to take that risk. I don't want other people to be banned with me who actually play though.
You don't even connect to Blizzard with it though, and I haven't been banned in the couple of years I've gone from private servers and retail back and forth.

I make your account using a control panel, Maiq. Blizzard has nothing to do with it, the software runs a completely independent realmlist from Blizzard.
They don't know, and they usually don't care if you're not making money from it. |

Alright, the server is up. Custom items work and I'm working on being able to spawn shit like buildings and custom npcs.

2) Go into your WoW folder > Data > enus/eu/whatever > realmlist.wtf. Open it in notepad, and copy this in over everything else: set realmlist 5.52.142.107
3) Get on hamachi and connect to Name: BitlandsFunTime , pass fish.
4) PM me what name and password you want so I can make your account.

Having it names Bitlands was a terrible move obviously, but if you don't give a shit about the name and want to *crag* around with GM commands and custom gear then it's cool.
Of course, I could be posting this shit for no reason but oh well. |
