I've been reading a very interesting book today called Everything You Know is Wrong by the fine people over at disinfo.com and I have some fast and quick tidbits for you that may incite you to look into some of their works.
All of this information was uncovered by professional investigative journalists with hard documented evidence to back it up.
Let us begin.
Mass public schooling was originally based upon Prussian design, not as a place for education but for social grooming. Specifically, to force children into a mind set of competing as an employee and not setting out on their own.
| Rockefeller's General Education Board wrote: | | In our dreams...people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present educational conventions fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or men of science. We have not to raise up from among them authors, educators, poets or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians, nor lawyers, doctors, preachers, politicians, statesmen, of whom we have ample supply. The task we set before ourselves is very simple...we will organize children...and teach them to do in a perfect way the things their fathers and mothers are doing in an imperfect way. |
As a result the actually academics you are learning in today's classrooms, especially those found in poor divisions of America, are severely underwhelming in terms of intellectual gratification and is having long term effects on America's future already.
You wouldn't know it from looking at test scores though, as they are constantly lowered to fit the degrading classrooms. But when we look at another source, for instance military literacy tests, we see something much more severe. Just before WWII the literacy rate was 96 percent. In other words, 4 percent of those who took the test were found illiterate. By the time the war in Korea began, it had risen to 27 percent of applicants found illiterate. Not sinking in? What if I were to tell you that the literacy test provided by the military only requires a 4th grade comprehension level.
Even looking back at history, something doesn't quite make sense.
Books were the main source of entertainment before the advents of radio and television, yet the grammar and vocabulary used in old American literature is far out of the range of even most adults today.
Even farmers could teach their children better than their American public school system.
Or were you under the impression the government forced public education on minor's for their own good?
There's a sobering pill to swallow. |

I'm Home Schooled. I already know anything else doesn't work at all because I wasn't brain washed by those freaks and their goon children.

The reason the illeteracy rates are going up is because the Mexicans are coming to the US, and have English as a second language, or don't know it at all. Duh. |

Because the Korean War was totally when we were having immigration problems.
And the Mexicans are totally going to join the army where they'll get a background check.
Dude you are so *crag* smart. |

Did you kill your parents and gain their combined life experience by ingesting their brains in a semi-native American ritual amid the moonlight. |
