This is INCREDIBLE. By the way, the cone is solid, but those spikes are made of ferrofluid. The most basic ferrofluids are iron filings dissolved in water.

Yeah, they look awesome. They are used in harddrives to keep from overheating.

Also, don't forget Areogel. It 99 percent air, it makes amazing insulation, and you can see through it, and it's super strong.

Too bad it's brittle.


Or what about Perfluorocarbons?

It a liquid, like water, however, you can breath in it. They put mice in tubes of it. They died, but only because they kinda freaked about being in water. They still could breath though. Crazy shit.

Or my favorite, Graphene.

It's like graphite.
But it's an atom thick.
200 times stronger than steel (breaking strength)
Also it has some crazy thing with electricity, so it could be used as some crazy thing.

It looks alot like if chicken wire was made with atoms.
