I think that limiting how often you can post in the dump would be better than limiting the total number of times you can post in the dump.
I was thinking about limiting how often you can post a new topic to every 5 minutes.
Or, what if it costs 1 coin to post a new topic in the dump? |

Oh, go from NOT earning coins in the dump to WASTING them.
Let's not, 'kay? How about you make it so that you can only make a topic every five minutes, and can only reply to the same topic every sixty seconds?
Basically, just make the flood control different than the rest of the boards.
though why exactly you want to do this, I'll never know... people will still gladly wait out the time so that they can post their spam and nonsense. |

I think the biggest problem is the flood of new topics. Many are barely replied to and many are just duplicates of other topics. Hopefully putting a limit on new topics would encourage people to post in existing topics. For example, there should be one topic with pics of Dawn, instead of 50. |

Francis, didn't you get mods for a reason..?
Shouldn't they be the ones to decide whether a topic is a duplicate or not, and delete and/or merge them. |

A) moderate, which would involve punishing, which is really hard to judge in an off-topic forum
B) limit, so users can still post what they want, but at a reasonable rate |

There will still be duplicate topics unless you make it cost like 20 coins to make a topic, and that would simply be outrageous.
The majority of the problems in the dump are caused when people go outside the dump and complain about it.
I'm not sure who exactly wrote it, but the dump's description says "Abandon hope all ye who enter here."
I'd say that's fair warning that there's going to be duplicate topics and nonsense there. |

Francis, please don't make posts in the Dump cost money... People need to release their randomness and some even write semi-serious topics. Unless it costs money after a certain number of posts. |

I too do not think the Dump should cost money- you baerly get coins from posting i the other forums, and it's hard not to spam in them so here's my idea:
1) Limit posts in the dump. One topic per 5 to 10 minutes, one post per 30 seconds.
2) Two coins per post in the other forums, or events where you get more coins for posting, or you get more cions for good post quality - but you don't have to pay if your post quality is under 0. |
