I do not believe that it is just me thinking that you guys are going a tad bit overboard. I know you love your new powers and all, but there's no need to flash the jail keys at people who do nothing wrong.

Outside the dump, you guys tend to judge what is "off-topic" or de-railed quite a bit... differently. If members start arguing or posting random crap, I'd say that's off topic... if they post something silly and then add to the topic, that's borderline, but NOT dumpworthy, and there's no reason to threaten them with your mod powers.

IN the dump... the only thing you're supposed to do is stop flaming and keep pornographic and vulgar content from showing up, and the latter is hardly a problem. You guys must be bored as hell, because I see you getting angry at and threatening members for posting in 7 day old topics, which is NOT necroposting, you get mad at them for posting serious or semi-serious topics, you've abused your powers in other ways such as the "THIS TOPIC WILL BE LOCKED" topic, and you've overall done nothing to improve the forum by doing any of this. AT ALL.

I know you guys want to do your best, but you don't have to prove yourselves. If there isn't any trouble, don't look for it. Stop messing with the dump... it's fine as it is, and Francis is going to do his best to get rid of the flooding and spamming, (which should already be expected anyway, since it IS the dump) and you guys don't need to bother everyone about the littlest things.


I'll explain this to you the easiest I can:
There's a difference between a MINOR TOS violation, and a MAJOR TOS violation... and there are different levels of each. A MAJOR TOS violation is what gets users jailed, NOT minor. Minor TOS violations should only get users jailed if they ignore warnings and continue to do so... in other words, depending on how small the violation is, you should just let it slide and not cause drama by saying "I'M GONNA JAIL YOU".

The only way to violate the TOS in the dump is flaming, or posting pornographic and/or vulgar things on the forum... and this should be common knowledge.


Summary:
Lighten up. You're taking things WAY too seriously, and need to just calm down and be more patient. Another thing: you guys don't MAKE rules... you ENFORCE them.

Don't completely IGNORE the forum, but just don't be so harsh on it.

Yes, I agree. The new mods should be freaking out about every little thing. I know they JUST got their powers and all, but that doesn't mean they can run around and abuse them. They should just settle down and do their job like a normal moderator would.

Has there been an instance in which I've abused the Moderator privileges that have so kindly been granted to me? Have I threatened anyone with a possible prison sentence for absolutely no good, or too minor, of a reason? I don't recall, but if I have, I apologize, and ask that you please tell me when I did such things. I try not to take the littlest things too seriously, but I do take my job seriously, so help me out here. You may send me a PM listing all of the instances of my abuse of power as a Moderator.
