I can safely say that Secret of Mana is one of the best RPGs ever. And it's sequel was even better. |

Agreed times a million. SD3 was better because of the ability to choose your own team, which made it good for more than one playthrough. |

I've played like 30 mins. into the first Secret of Mana. It was OK but I don't think it was the best RPG ever  |

Yeah. Plus being able to hold 9 of each item instead of four, and with even more thanks to storage. Seiken Densetsu 3 was a big improvement on Secret of Mana. |
