Nintendo confirmed yesterday that it will not be holding any press conference during this year's Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany but this doesn't mean that it will not be attending the event all together. Nintendo will be there, with video game journalists, happily giving "media tours".
Spokesperson for Nintendo UK said that they were doing it was because people only fully understand a lot of their products when people play them. They felt focus and attention was better spent on more intimate briefings rather than just one big press conference.
On Sony will be having one of these press conferences.
The Leipzig Games Convention takes place between 22nd and 28th August. |

I agree with that too. Plus, their Press Conference at E3 wasn't so hot... |
