This is a long, long, long I say text with many flashy graphics and big words. It all, however, can be put into one small sentence: Digibutter goes down the drain. First Trolling, then Spam and now Perverseness fill the forum. The good posts are gone, Off-Topic successes the Dump against all good wishes of being not like the Dump and Role-Play, Gaming and the other non-off-topic forums are mortally wounded and only twitching.
First: If you are now like “omfg you german Emo nazi, you are like the cry, go / yer wrists and shut up you wiener, can’t you take a joke, go listen to “Heut is mein Tag” you Weiner” Then I can just say one thing: Shut the *navi* up you *naving* creampuff and go get a *naving* brain!
Second: If you edit this post so it says something which is in your opinion funny, go ahead, do it. It won’t change my opinion or the truth in this post.
Third: You might find it funny, but I think any Nazi joke is repulsive. They’ve killed six million *naving* people and you use them for your everyday joke? Whenever I think I’ve hid rock bottom in the pit of idiocy, I smash through the ground into a deeper pit. You may find this insulting, but it simply is not funny to joke about that. So before you draw a damn Nazi symbol onto the head of some guy and post it everywhere in the internet use the big wobbly thing in your head called a brain. That’s where the little voice telling you what’s right and what’s not used to live.
Fourth: Control your damned hormones. I am not better in that part as you (Like I said, during my hormone-high nights on the net I’ve seen stuff that made my toenails roll up, and, my step-father being an andrologist, there’s not much stuff about mating habits that could scare me…) but there’s no topic left where nobody screams “like I’m buttraping you whilst sticking a chainsaw up SA’s ass and slicing YM’s dick with a butcher knife, also yiffing Hario and watching pokepr0n. Or posts a quote of his or her last perverted AIM or MSN session. I think I speak for more then just me when I say that we’d be grateful if you kept your fetishes and mating habits to yourself. Also I read something about incest and a 5year old boy fingering his grandma. That is just plain sick, people, and I can’t understand how you can even consider posting something like that. Even with our new [M] – Tag, which can be seen in 60 % of all new topics, the forum was supposed to be PG-13. Not even the most horrible of bad fanfictions about Uchihacest, Threesomes and much much more could’ve prepared me to see something like that. On Digibutter. A formerly SPM-centered forum. Why don’t we just rename it “*crag* butter”? Oh, and if you don’t believe me, here the juicy sources. Read through it, if you like. I nearly puked reading through some of it.
Fifth: Hate me, despise me, kill me, flame me (Yes, you too Sting Chameleon, feel free to spam my inbox) for this. Ban hammer me or something. Do so, and it will prove my theories, at least in my opinion. Maybe I am a bit harsh in here, insulting and stuff, but I want to point out that I am not considering myself not guilty of anything stated up there. I’ve spammed, trolled, and perverted (except maybe for buttraped whilst etc. etc.) like you, but I can’t find it funny on any level anymore.
Sixth: If you happen to question my level of intelligence or think that I should “Learn to take a joke”, then I can only say this: A) I have an IQ between 142 and 152, making me a member of the most intelligent 1 % of mankind. I am fully serious, that is no joke (And I can tell you how much it can suck to be like that…) And B) If stuff like that in the links is considered a joke in Digibutter, then I should honestly consider leaving. Because I am not able to adapt to that kind of joke level, to me it’s repulsive, disgusting and generally the lowest of low. Not to mention wrong on too many levels to count. If you happen to find it funny, good for you. Or maybe not. I however cannot take stuff like that onto the light shoulder. Thank you.
So. That should point out the borderlines of my opinion. Now to fill it with colour.
Digibutter was, no, IS a great forum. It’s fun and interactive, it has role-playing, items, a system of currency and if Francis gets hyper maybe it’ll become a fully fledged MMORPG. Okay, that not, but you get my jizz. When I joined Digibutter I was excited, hoped to be able to socialize with the locals and become a part of the greatness. Now, roughly 2 or 3 Months later I am disappointed, and I wonder what happened to the forum I’ve joined. Let’s take a look at that:
See? While good posts nearly vanish Spam shoots up like *navi*. Not to mention the newest Pervert Wave. If you wonder why the number of troll posts shoots up in July, that was, if I’m not mistaken, when Evangel regained activity. To make myself even clearer (and to show that I finally checked how to make snazzy diagrams [after 10 minutes, I love to have a higher then average IQ, it can come in handy…]) Digibutter went from post levels like this:

Spam skyrockets, quickly followed by the pervert wave. The dump nuke did the same thing all nukes do: First it erases all life, but then it comes back, horribly mutated. (I do not mean to offend anybody with this statement, because, if I remember correctly, LB said he’s an Asian.) The Dump Nuke worked like fuel to the machine that is spam, increasing the levels once again. I once read a statement from Plastic Mario saying that off-Topic should under no circumstances become like the Dump. What happened to that? If I look into off-topic I see the Dump under a new guise. (Which leads me to the unanswered question why only the Spam forums bloom like crazy everywhere someone turns their head. Why do people like to cause chaos and destruction so much instead of having a good online conversation which does not just waste IQ points and file space? I think only God knows… and He answers too quietly.)
So I come to the conclusion all of Digibutter had not long ago: Something has to change. The new question, however, is “How?” The method we already tried (Nuke and rebuild) has failed even worse then the CD-i system. How hard I think, I cannot offer a solution that is guaranteed to work. We could stick to the “Just resist that cute little voice in your head telling you to spam the hell out of the forum”-course of action, which would most likely fail, too. Because it requires discipline, and frankly, that’s not an attribute that’s named in one sentence with the age group of people 13 – 20, of which Digibutter consists mostly. We could try to unload our destructive energy and hormones on something else – not another forum, it would be the lowest of low to doom another helpless forum so ours is saved. And to the theme of unloading hormones… Well… I’d suggest a way that leads around buying a twelve year supply of tissues, cleaning solutions and KY-Jelly (Although I am German I already know an American brand of lubrication. Eww. Speaks for the sad state of the internet, eh? You learn stuff like that in seconds but it takes weeks to get to the Wikipedia article you’re searching.), but I don’t know one. Great. This post steers into dangerous waters. Just... try to stop perverting and spamming, okay ? Keep that stuff to yourself. In 20 years you’d be ashamed of roughly 68 % of the stuff you’ve posted here, and unless Francis tries his EMP-Bomb next to the Digibutter server anyone with a Wii or a computer can look at any post you have ever made. Completely. Heck, maybe I’ll try to download the whole site and burn it on a DVD set. Internet forums nearly cry “USE MAH POSTS TO BLACKMAIL ME!”. What if your parents, siblings, relatives or friends got a nice copy of Digibutter by mail? (That is no threat. Just a thought experiment.) I remember some people posting more then just a look through the keyhole about their personal lives and families, even insulting relatives online and putting their worries and opinions about relatives up for the general public.
Also, many people complained about the fact that members are leaving. That is to blame on the supernatural spam rate. In my opinion it’s like this :
As you can see, many people didn’t want to stay in a forum composed of Spam and random raping topics. Which is fully understandable for me. The majority of the people staying are either the spammers themselves, inactive or, a wonder of nature, spam-proof.
As for a step to clean up Digibutter: I’d like to suggest that any account being unused for more then two months should be considered to be deleted except if the user posts or mails Francis a valid excuse for being inactive for longer than that space. They will receive an email notification about the imminate deleting, which they can respond to, to approve or object to this action. No reply in a fourteen day timeframe is considered as an acceptance for deletion. (All coins and possession of that account will be equally distributed; items will be randomly given to an user.) That would show us how high our numbers really are. I think that make thing much clearer and easier. In my opinion the current number of accounts divides as follows: (NOTE :This time, instead of calculating the numbers, I actually made myself a list with the members I found most active, however, due to an internet connection timeout [Damn three hour limit – D : <] I had to guess the numbers of inactive accounts and took a wild guess, leading to a clean 100 unused accounts.)
So, if these would be cleaned out not only would digibutter run more smoothly, but also we’d know whether we should recruit, stop scaring people away, or block getting new members.
That is, by now, all I have to say. I hope you have read the whole thing, and take maybe a minute or two to think seriously about this. I am doing this only in hope for a better Digibutter, although I don’t know hoe exactly to achieve that. But at least I can point out the renewed danger.
Fun Fact: My posts get a lot more epic when I listen to Chrono Trigger Remixes from OC Remix whilst typing. This time it’s “Tears of Contention”. God bless OC Remix and Bladiator and The Orichalcon.
[EDIT] I’d like to use the opportunity to elect “Millennial Fair 2001” From OC Remix as the official Digibutter Theme. Although it’s not made of SPM music I think it has the sufficient level of awesome, and is kinda HIGH-TECHNICAAAAAAL! So take this song and try it on! Nerr… (Can’t post a link because my internet timed out hours ago, this whole post was actually made whilst being offline…)

I don't have that kind of attention span to read all of it, but judging from your microsoft excel images, youu're saying spam has taken over, correct? That only has happened because there are many more members here than in march.

There are plenty of non-[M] posts in Off-Topic. It was more of a passing fad.
Just to mention, I will be 15 in three days (Must prepare PAR-TAY topic ! Maybe some totally hot babes will congratulate me ! Nerr...) and also, my father in an andrologist. I've heard and seen stuff that... etc. wtc. I just think that there's stuff inside the [M] topics that not even 60 year olds with parental guidance should see. And off-Topic / The Dump taking over defeats the original purpose of the site. This is neither SPARTAAAAA ! nor pornobutter.perv.biz or spammalolwuts.spam.biz. it's Digibutter, and that's where the center should stay.

Digibutter is a peanut gallery of people, as Winry put it. And when you have a bunch of people, there is no way you're going to keep out the natural tendencies. This is why there is drama, flame wars, etc. It's human nature, and you can't ignore it. Also, if you look at off topic right now there's barely more than like 0-3 [m]tagged topics that are actually happening.

There are some of us who don't like MMORPGs at all, like me. I joined for the community, why should it have to become entirely one? I'd definitely leave if all Digibutter was is roleplaying or something else. I don't like roleplaying much at all, actually.

Intelligent discussions on Digibutter are hard to find because nobody starts them, or feels like typing something at the time, can actually think about it at the time, etc...

I don't respect people who leave because of the spam. They don't just stay out of Off Topic or even try to revive anything in the other forums. They just complain about Digibutter being boring and leave. Those of us who do spam are obviously having fun and that's it, it's not like we can't talk smart. We don't talk smart because there's no incentive to. Among other reasons.

Yeah, that with the MMORPG was a bad choice of words, I meant that Digibutter became the embodiment of awesome with the extraz like coins or shops and relationships...
Okay, then the pervert wave really has passed. Sorry, but I was seriously grossed out by some of that stuff. And you are right that stuff like that is human nature (which strenghtens my religious theory that one of the reason God made us was to be imperfect because that's an infinite source of amusement).

But all of the nonsense is placed in the off-topic and that's the only place I see it.
It doesn't make the rest of digibutter a bad place. And people can be one person in there and a totally serious person in another forum. If they don't like the spam, all they really have to do is not click on off-topic.
And if it really bothered them they could attempt to get rid of it by making a sig or something and getting a supporting crew.
