I agree 100%. I should change back to something overly and ridiculously long name, like my first one. |

A fair point, you purloining pest, you. A common thief, to be sure, but one that reasons well with others. My name shall remain the very same... always! Ah ha ha... why, it is what makes me, me! There is much more to a name, much more to a long-established persona than one may think... change your name, and some part of you leaves with it. A name (hopefully) holds respect, identity, and fond recognition between others. Change that, and other things may change as well - not necessarily for the better. Those are my words of caution! Hopefully you men, women, Pokémon, and various other creatures of varying shapes and sizes have listened well. Ahhh... it satisfies me, and hopefully you too, to know that this knowledge can only benefit you in the very end! |

I didn't change anything except my name when I changed to Rasto, and I waited a while before changing my sig/avatar so people wouldn't think I was a new member. I was only spacecat for a few hours. If I do change to something that I can use to act in-character, I'll keep that username for a very, very long time. |

I too was even guilty of changing my name for a time, and even then I felt strangely uncomfortable posting under it. I used to feel like this community was bonded somehow. Like I knew everyone and every one knew me. It was like some kind of online family or something. But then name changing came along and a lot of people changed. I've known this member for a few months now and I can't even recognize them when I log in? I can understand some people might have accidentally typed in their name wrong when they signed up, and in that way the item is helpful. But when we are at the point when we can't even recognize our friends without looking in their profiles, can we even call ourselves a community? |

completely agree. HOW COULD YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME CELEBI KITTY? I'm only just realizing who's who, it's sad and a disgrace to Digibutter The name changing crap should of never came along. I know a site in which you can only change your name ONCE A YEAR! Everyone could cope with that, here no. |
