When a member joins a forum, it is never their choice whether they will stay or go it is the communities. If a community shuns a member from their ranks, do you think they will stay? This is completely true. But if a member gives reason for others to shun them and view them in a relatively negative light, and does nothing to change this, that may be something else to consider. If you believe that it is everyone else who needs to change, because they're casting this negative light upon you for no good reason... well, I think you'll find that changing the member majority is far more difficult than simply ceasing your own obstinance and changing yourself, for the sake of the community you love. If you're not strong enough for this to happen, you can of course leave, but I believe that you'll make the right decision in the end. I hope that I'm not wrong in doing so. |
