I hate Neon Colloseum too. But there is a way to make sure you have a higher chance of getting your own pokemanz: watch the wheel. Study its speeds. I has a level 46 surfing volt tackling Raichu for beating Mysterio.

To get your pokemon just look at the ones that are across from the ones you want and press the button on them. It usually works.
I played it and in the first battle the chick got my Dialga and my Raichu. I was like "OH PLEASE." and restarted

Oh my fecking god, I hate it when my opponent gets like all my good Pokemon in the Neon Colosseum, and I only get a damn Wigglyltuff or Jigglypuff (Three times in a row I got a damn Jigglypuff...). It's a good thing I memorized the timing; I can't go a match without Kerrik the Tyranitar.

I noticed if you drop the ball on the Pokemon that's FOUR AFTER the one you want, you'll definitely get it. (There's the secret.)
