You have to ingonre or tone down being sensitive on the reactions to a namre change. it's psychological thing, it's like you have a totally different face in RL when you change your name in a foum. It looks thne like you're a totally different person, and the otehrs feels weitrded out, like if you'd start wearing, hmmm... colored contact lenses in Rl all the time... That happens whenever anyone changes his or her name because when you read tehir posts you get - conscious or subconscious - a picture of that person in your mind and if he changes his name that picture is disrupted and ripped. That's why I agree with popple - Name changing killed the forum. I think I"ll stay Zelnor, Even if that means i can't ever be in a comic or really be in an RP or cool .gif ... (But I want to be so bad... Meh.) |
