The Mushroom Kingdom was quiet that night.
Luigi gazed idly at the stars, not thinking about anything in particular. He knew that he would have to fall asleep eventually, but he was not at all keen to do so. He knew that if he did, he'd have that nightmare that he'd started having every night since he had been controlled by Dimentio...
As he felt his head begin to droop, he roused himself, and glanced at his brother, Mario. He had begun to notice that Luigi had started to look more tired in the mornings, and had mentioned it to him earlier. Luigi had assured him that everything was fine, which the elder brother seemed to believe.
Yawning, he put his head back, and accidentally drifted into sleep...

"Hey, Green! Someone wants to pass by!"
Green the Bridgemaster woke up to the voice of Watchitt, something which isn't very pleasant. Groaning, he peeked out the window. Tourists. Wonderful. He had always hated tourists, and they had an annoying habit of being amazed by the most ordinary things. Like sand. He didn't see what was so fascinating about a desert. It was just full of sand.
He pulled the lever, letting the bridge unfold. The tourists passed by, and Green resigned himself to another ordinary day. |

"BoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoooOOoOoOOO!", Boo yelled, popping up in front of the tourists. The walked past him like they've seen a million boos before. Why can't I scare?, he thought. What's wrong with me? He sulked to the ground. No wonder no one wants me. I just can't scare. I don't fit in. He looked around to see the tourists disapear in the distance. He sighed and sat on a nearby stump. |
